Am I hearing John Lithgow & John Cleese voices in the game?
Did Zenimax hire John Lithgow and John Cleese to do some of the voices within the game? I hear their voices a lot within the game - or at least it sounds like them.
Example: Cadwell's voice sounds just like John Cleese

Stormynature✭✭✭John Cleese is Cadwell in Coldharbour -- I am not aware if he has done other voices in ESO. Unsure about John Lithgow - the entirety of the voice cast used has not been released afaik.

That is just crazy. Never would have thought they had really hired them to do the voices, but I really love the fact they did that. John Cleese is simply a legend.
I love the character Cadwell, he's just awesome. Now knowing that John Cleese is behind the voice....Amazing!3 -

There are plenty of other good voice actors as well. You got Peter Stormare as the Skaldking (the same person that play the werebear in The Hobbit).
Dont think I've heard Claudia Christian though (mostly known from Babylon 5), loved her voice on my Norn female in GW2 and of course in Skyrim as Aela (and a plethora of other characters). Missing her already

mjharper✭✭✭✭I'm pretty sure that imdb list isn't complete. First of all, there are missing voices for some of the standard characters, like Bosmer B-D, that sort of thing.
Secondly, I'm fairly certain I recognise Crispin Freeman and Steve Blum doing various characters, and neither are listed.
I wouldn't imagine that John Lithgow was accidentally omitted though.0 -

I could be wrong about John Cleese, but aside from Cadwell I am pretty sure I hear him every time I enter the bank in Davon's Watch. Can't say I have heard a character sounding like John Lithgow, but I've not experienced the third faction yet. Be awesome if he was in there somewhere.
I can imagine him interjecting a poignant conversation with "Shut up c***."0 -

Enigma1985✭✭Granted I wouldn't trust IMDB for your info on the cast. Anyone can freely edit it at will such as the people who for the longest time couldn't accept that Kiefer Sutherland was the new voice of Big Boss in Metal Gear (they were in denial to the point where they kept changing Boss/Snake to David Hayter as a form of protest)
As far as everyone else who's been officially announced goes I'm not surprised. Beth/Zeni usually gets big names to voice important characters in their games. Of course this sometimes has the effect of giving away plot points if said actor is chronically killed off in their roles (glares at Sean Bean and Liam Neeson)
Seriously if they cast Sean Bean in a horror movie he'd play the black guy that dies first :P0 -

Aci✭✭✭Im not so much into who is who behind these voices, I dont know any of these names. But when I heard them ingame I was like "wohooo, wow, what insanely good voice actors!" Definitely the best ive heard ever in any mmo!

Im sure ive heard Gideon Emery who plays fenris in dragon age 2 and various voices in dragon age origins. I could also swear i heard him as an imperial soldier in skyrim too... Cant confirm but he has a very distinctive voice
