When you are at a shrine and want to travel to another shrine the message says "left click to fast travel here". When you are on the map screen and want to travel to a shrine the message says "Left click to recall here". Your screen shots say "recall".
You think that is odd? I was sitting at a Wayshrine plotting what to do next and I watch the cost of porting go down tick by tick. It was going to cost me 500g if I would have chose to port when I first arrived and used the wayshrine. But I watched the cost go down to the normal 100g'ish price.
Hasn't been costing me gold, used wayshrines several times today, no gold cost. Sounds like OP has hit a bug.I haven't noticed them costing Gold.

What you are seeing there is probably people playing in a group, 1 person in the group uses the wayshrine, then other members of the group who have not discovered the destination use "travel to player" to go to the group member who can use the destination wayshrine - I do that regularly when playing with a guild where other people may have been to places where I don't know a wayshrine

So you walk to a wayshrine to do this? this is why i was skeptical. why walk all the way to a wayshrine and then get that animation. Ive done it by accidentally a couple of times, luckily it doesnt charge you until you are already in the loading screen, so I just move immediately

Yeah, because you're following the person who knows where he's going. You follow him to the wayshrine, he uses the wayshrine, then everyone else does 'travel to player' to follow him - even if you have the destination wayshrine on your map, it's easier to use travel to player than use the wayshrine! (edit - using the wayshrine means you have to click through your maps and find the right wayshrine, using travel to player just delivers you to the right one )
True you can do it any time from anywhere to many places, but if you're adventuring in a group it still requires one of you to be at the destination, and you tend to stick together for social reasons - so you all go to the wayshrine, at least one uses the wayshrine, others can too, but it's usually just easier to use the travel-to option rather than activating the wayshrine then finding the right one to travel to, or the destination may not have been discovered by you yet so travel-to is the only option at that pointFairydragon3 wrote: »Fairydragon3 wrote: »Fairydragon3 wrote: »be sure you are using the wayshrine and not just opening the map near it, cuz that's not the same thing. Ah I'm soloing all the time, thing is i was confused because you can Travel to player any time, it doesn't need a wayshrine
