Abysmal launcher download speeds/strange launcher behavior.
The client took around 5 hours to hit 20% install completion on Mac OSX Mavericks, so I switched to BootCamp running Windows 7 where I already had the beta client installed, thinking it would be a faster install time.
I was partially correct. It got to about 75% and then just lingered there for a while, so I restarted the launcher. Now it's been stuck at 5% for 45 minutes, even though it JUST had 75% progress. I'm getting about 20kbps when I was getting about 2mbps speeds earlier, which is still a lousy fraction of what I SHOULD be getting. I took an internet speed test which showed my download and upload speeds were both around 25mbps.
What is wrong with the launcher? Yes my firewall is off, and I'm on my Macbook via wireless router. Other MMO launchers are finished installing everything in about an hour and a half time span. This is absolutely ridiculous.
Any advice?
