so they're adding new content as opposed to making sure what is there now works?

makes such sense.

i'm all for new stuff, but lets make sure that what's already there is working before we have new things to beta test.

Yes, it does make sense. Studios have different teams working on different things. Stopping a project thats probably pretty much completed and moving the personel to start fixing bugs they have no idea about how to fix isnt a very good idea. Most of the people working on Craglorn is content creators - designers, 3D artists, scripters, etc. Not senior engine programmers or whatever.

I would also add, this content update, and the next two or three have probably been in development since at least the start of closed beta. They do this in hopes of having the content out before people power through their content. All MMOs do this. Molten Core technically wasn't even the game when WoW launched. You could be attuned to it, but you couldn't actually enter it till late December I believe.

i get that, and part of me is OK with it...BUT, something like this NEEDS to be released along with a huge patch that will fix a lot of the early quests, bugs, etc.

After a month, i don't think we've gotten that enormous patch that we expect / deserve. I hope craglorn has fixes included in it and not just content...that's really what I wanted to get at.

from what I can recall of the early days, WoW spent a lot of the early time fixing things and slowly putting out content.

Dev's shouldn't be accountable because some people want to power through a game then complain there isn't anything to do because they decided to power through 100+ hours of content in a few days.

My main is only level 30, plenty still left to do and see....and since the game is young in terms of MMO's years, i'm in no rush to get to the end.

Look mates the rare and elusive scruffy cave troll!!! Much more rare than normal trolls. See how eloquently put together its thoughts are? Its choice of forum section to post this masterfully crafted statement, that does nothing for the community, is completely appropriate.

    /sarcasm off

This statement is non helpful, non support related, you have provided no facts to support your statement, and I am sure you do not speak for the rest of the community. So, next time please for all of our sakes think before you type. It only makes sense.

Read the Craglorn PTS patch thread on this forum. Its quite a long list of fixes.

And of course a couple of stupid ones that make you wonder what ZOS programmer took a screwdriver to the head, but that's another thing.

To be fair this content has been in development for a long time, its just now ready to be able to hit beta testing and launch phases.

to be fair, the game itself was also in development for a long time

part of my point is that, they're releasing this content which will no doubt introduce a whole new set of issues. regardless of whether or not there are teams that are working on specific parts of the game, those teams seem to be have a poor allotment.

new content right now should have the least amount of people working on it, with the majority working on the current state....then at a point they can shuffle people, but they need a stable base....but gonna check the notes now.

please point me to the general discussion forum then

it's also ironic how your post was just as unhelpful or provided anything in terms of support...also, since when do opinions need facts?

I love people who have no idea how games are made and how they feel they should come here and give the devs what for! YEAH! and tell them how it should be done!

Where did you study game design? What was the name of your AAA mmo?

    Oh wait...thats right...

So leave it to the professionals...as bad of a job you think they are doing, it is still better than you.

did i say they're doing a bad job? cuz i read through all these posts, and i never wrote those words.

don't put words in peoples mouths..and you also completely missed the point since you only read the first post. so maybe read entire posts and threads instead of being another lazy mmo-know-it-all.

and no, i haven't desinged any AAA titles unfortunately, so we can't talk about mine, can we talk about yours?

Read the PTS 1.1 Patch notes. They are releasing "that enormous patch that we expect / deserve," you just haven't educated yourself about it.

Attention Zenimax: Stamina builds don't hold up to magicka builds, and this is causing most of your class imbalance. It makes melee weapons and bows weaker than staves and class abilities. It makes medium and heavy armor less desirable than light armor. Fix this imbalance, and you'll address most of your balance issues.

thanks, but in big bold letters on the first post says those are in the test server and they might change when they go live, not sure what to believe there...but maybe this is that big patch!! :D

It is on the test server now, but it will be on the live server eventually. Yes, some of the details may change between now and then but that doesn't change the fact that the patch notes describe a pretty major update that addresses many of the things people have been complaining about (OP and broken skills in particular).
