Out of game Email Gold Spam

I have received spam related to many games I have never played over the years. Likelihood is that the the spammers have just bought a list of harvested addresses, with no knowledge of what games you may play.

Settle down. People using systems for something other than intended is pretty par for the course in the world of the interwebs. Not everyone can predict what will happen, unless you are a hindsight predictor... and we all know what types those are.

what do you predict will happen if i gave your email to a bunch of mail spammers?

I predict my anti-spam will catch it and if it doesnt, Ill report it as spam and let the automatic detection system figure it out.

I have been getting gold seller spam for WoW for years. I played that game for all of 2 months back in 2007. The spam filter on my e-mail system detects it and sends it to the junk folder. Not sure what the problem is. Especially given that this is a group of people misusing a feature and it is being worked on now.
