trounced a level 40, and 2/3 others...is that normal, or is it part of the balancing work that needs to be done?

seemed incredibly OP.

Without any idea of the level of the "2/3 others", their classes and skill level it's impossible to say, isn't it?

Seems a bit odd and overwhelming eh? I don't know since I cant be sure which boss you mean. I have seen a few that go down pretty easy at higher level, but some still can take a beating if you solo them. A lot of different factors come into it. Character build, equipment and skill sets... Some have a mean Damage factor. I have rather enjoyed finding a few that require an assist from some other travelers in the area. But it is, like I said, odd when you find ones you seem to be ready to take on and they still smash on you.

Not all world bosses are of the same difficulty.. Some are quite easily soloable, while others hit like a freight train and (almost) one shot you...

Don't think it is a balancing issue really, just some are harder than others.... even if you're overleveled.

Some world bosses you can easily solo, some can pretty much one shot you. I like the varying difficulty, especially when you just get off one of the tougher world bosses and just trounce the next one.

Yeah. I went back to stonefalls at like 25 to get all my skyshards. I tried to kill the Netch boss. The 3 mobs were crushing me. I then went and solo'd the Saint without an issue, and I believe the Saint is actually higher level than the Netches.

Even tho the Saint is a "three-dot-boss", it is just one mob. It has a very strong special attack, wich is easy to block or evade.

The three Netches (just 2-dot-bosses iirc) have a steady dps, and theres three of them beating you at start, so need quickly to kill one to make the dadmage less evil.

And by "dots" i mean the amount of those dots next to their names.
Early bird gets the worm, but second mouse gets the cheese.

It's the very first boss you come across in malabal tor. the one on the north west part of the map by the very first town you enter....the skeletons ship crew coming out of the water to get the chest.

i'm not complaining that it's hard, i like the challenge, and they shouldn't be that easy...i'm all for that. I was just shocked at how hard it was for the zone it is in....and i feel like i've come across this a lot early game where things seem harder than they really should be for the level.
