Canceled sub, but still set up to pay at start of next month.

So i went through the auth thing, where it draws out money and puts it back in to verify the account, Wasn't a problem. But after canceling my subscription i was concerned to find out that i've got 99 dkr going out to xxxxxxELDRSCROLS\London the 6th of may, on my bank account.

I canceled the subscription right after verifying my account and unlocking my 30 days free time.

Is this normal to keep the sub going despite canceling it?

We have contacted our Customer support team to help you solve your issue.

Contact your bank. It's very likely a pre-auth lock on account (which your bank control).

I already went through that at the start of the month, locked the same amount and was released a week later. That's why i believe this is something else?

The 6th of May? It's not the 6th yet. How much is 99dkr? Around $15 usd? Did you sign up around April 6th. Is it possible that somehow you bank knows that a reoccurring charge was configured and is somehow warning or assuming another is coming. Is it possible you didn't cancel your subscription? That's all I can think of. Instead of asking us I'd ask zos

99dkr is the amount one month costs. Whatever equivalent that is for usd. I signed up. And the 6th is when my free month runs out.

I was under the impression this is the customer support forum and therefore i might be able to reach the company through this post.

If nothing else then to speed up my email query which asked me for the answer to my secret password but never confirmed or responded.

Given the amount of time it takes for a support ticket to go through i dont have time to wait for a back and forth verification of my secret answer, they can see i still have the issue by looking up this thread, and verify its me by just checking my poster account.

So you either expect that some customer support guy reads the forum and discuss your problem in public with you or you expect to get ahead in queue just because you make a thread here ?

    Seriously ???

Those guys at the customer service responsible for payment options are for sure not reading this forum.

Whatever works. I just want my money back. I realise posting about refunds is taboo on a fansite. But i didn't sign up for more than the first month. So i don't want to pay for more than that. I've played pretty much all mmo's out there, and never had a problem with canceling my subscription.

So excuse me if i'm trying to get this sorted asap.

The forum people don't have access to accounts, so this may not work. There's a phone number you can phone, although I'm not sure they have billing access.

There's a dedicated billing team but forum people have had problems getting to them.

Shock horror that customers might expect customer support representatives to read the customer support forum! Whatever next?!

i think i read somewhere that u need to cancel it 30 days before the expiration date in order not to get charged for next month.

Not true. You only pay for what you use.

Do some of you not find it ironic that you are trying to dissuade a customer from using the customer support forums for a customer support issue?

Seems posting here may have helped afterall. Issue solved. Thanks for quick response eso!

There was a big thread about this recently on this forum, and a CS rep confirmed that this is not the case. It was just confusing wording. According to that CS rep, you only get charged if your sub is active when the next monthly payment cycle starts.
