Has anyone else seen a drop in botters/spammers?

Yesterday, while playing, I saw a drastic drop in the amount of chat spam. I think I saw maybe two of them.

In addition, I managed to enjoy about three or four of those caves all the way to the end. When I'd reach the bottom, there wasn't a huge crowd surrounding the boss's spawn point. Just two or three people, like me, going through the dungeon and then leaving when they were done.

It really took me by surprise. Normally, I avoid those little caves, since I don't feel the need to compete against a gang of bots for my completion achievement. But today I had a lot of fun.

Was it just a slow day (or possibly their day off?), or has anyone else seen a reduction in the amount of botters and spammers lately?

i must admit i have noticed less bots in some dungeons, but then i have seen them in others, but not at boss, strangely they were camping the trash mobs instead, and i have even seen a couple stuck walking into walls in tunnels, having addons to remove spam chat i can't comment on if its dropped lately as i rarely see any now anyway.

Be sure to keep reporting them. ZO seems to be making good on their word of getting them cleaned up.

Yes a lot less. I'm not sure if its that my main was in coldharbour dungeons but on 3 occasion, no bots where there and I was the only one to kill the boss. Hope it gets better by next month when the MMOs locusts have burned out!

Never really paid much attention to them, however I do notice there are a lot less people farming public dungeon bosses lately, I thought maybe it was just that I am playing in VR levels but maybe ZOS is finally getting a handle on 'em.

yes have seen major drop of bots now all I see is wads of players farming bosses some times cant even get a hit in take several attempts .
so now the farmers are farming the bosses oh my.
all I can say is maybe make the dungeons a team event to stop the farming of bosses, less loot after first kill and hardly any xp so then a player can help fellow players who need that boss.

I haven't noticed a change.

In fact we were trying to talk about it in zone chat yesterday but the chat box was constantly filled with gold spam.

There are less bots in the dungeons but i've seen far more popping out of the ground to harvest nodes and then vanishing again.

I've been getting a lot more mail recently too.

I get at least 1 gold spam mail an hour.

gold seller spam chat is down for the bank alt two weeks ago it was overflood, then half the text until did not register . Just saw bots once then I did missing public dungeon skyshards in 5-15 zone.
has gotten around 6 gold seller spam mail.

Wonder if its diferent on EU and US server.

Yea definitely seen less spam and botters on the NA side of things. Couple dungeons I've been into have had 0 botters in fact, was a nice surprise.

I've read "drop botters" as "drop bolters"... thought about Warhammer 40k and all that Space Marine stuff.

Actually, I could put that Bolter in a good use...

Yes seen far less bots in the one man dungeons standing waiting for the boss to spawn. Seems ZOS is getting somewhere with the measure they are taking, nice to see it has effect.

And with these new changes more bots and goldsellers will be affected.

Less in chat and i have only had one mail spam .....seems like a positive direction.

Botts i see a fair amount still but less off the random letter named bots and more typical named. I am not sure what thats about....anyway not seeing as much of the speed hack too.

I hope it is zos at work and keeps it up.

I've actually noticed some cleaning up on the PvP LB as well : )
well hopefully, I've been eye-balling the LB a lot lately as I'm coming up on the top 100 spot. The other day i was 100k AP away I then Logged off a few hours. came back i was only 40k away and jumped up a couple spots. My only conclusion, and hopefully clean up time : )

Just tried to do one and can't get a hit on the boss before it falls over.

Lot less in dungeons for me. Heck i got to the end of two public dungeons last night and there was no one there farming the boss. That hasn't happened since headstart that i can remember. But as others have pointed out, i have seen a bunch more teleport bots. Heck i was watching like 6 of them teleport around a quest the other day. Level 5s in a 25 area just appearing at one quest person, disappearing 1 by 1 and then reappearing at the next location 1 by 1. Made me think of my time modding skyrim.

You mean you actually got to solo a boss fight in a public dungeon? ya lucky so and so!

Best I've been able to do is two of us on a boss fight and even then we were looking at each other like "okay where's the crowd of boss farmers hiding?".

So the bots and farmers are still in full force.

I'd love to join in the praise for Zenimax for them removing the bots and farmers and I will .... when they remove the bots and farmers.

This is the EU server, no idea what it's like in the NA one but it's still a big problem here.

I've actually seen an increase in bots. Specifically around Dhalmora on the EU megaserver.

I went into a dungeon in Auridon last night and saw no bots at all. That hasn't happened for a few weeks so personally I think things are getting better on that front. However, I see just as much zone spam from gold sellers as ever.

Iunno about caves, I've never had a problem, but resource nodes (runes, ore, wood, etc..) seemed to be in abundance. Wasn't sure if Craglorn had gone live and increased resource nodes or if the number of bots drastically decreased so more resource nodes are available. Very happy either way though, as finding enchanting resources seems hard for me.

looks like it's a big difference between the NA servers and the EU servers. Let's show our support for our ESO friends across the pond. Hopefully it starts to settle down a bit for the EU server soon.

I have seen a drop in /zone spammers,, but I got an email this morning with Daedric Motif attached in the subject line... and the body of the email was the usual gibberish.

Bots are still active. Oldcrag or whatever it is called... the first shrine in Rivenspire just north of it, is infested with bots.

I actually got to kill a public dungeon boss all by myself for the first time since early access. It was glorious.

I've seen more bots in the train mode killing mobs than I did before. I did however notice that there are slightly less bots in public dungeons at least at the lower level. It's probably because they went to the higher level ones that my alt is currently in.

However I don't see a lot in the VR1 zone so maybe it's just a matter of time for them to get there too.

Long story short ESO is so generic and boring they don't see much of a chance to make much money off the game and has gone to better prospects.

I only ever see them in Glenumbra. And I report every single one while I am there. Just out of spite.

Well, that or it is just really expensive, since it costs them $60 for every account. In F2P games, they don't have that problem.

I've actually found ones where I had to clear to the end and solo the boss. The design is actually very tight and challenging for that. But it wasn't in the lower tier zones. And I've seen no gold spam at all in the second + zones (e.g. Storm, Graht, Green, Malabar, etc.)

This is the EU server, no idea what it's like in the NA one but it's still a big problem here.

I saw those when i first wen to Rivenspire. At that farmhouse right after the first wayshrine from Glenumbra. They would just run back and forth over a small part of the field...I had no idea what they were doing. I thought they were summoned NPCs or something.

I guess I was kill stealing them...I killed their spawns before they did.

I never see them anymore. Not for a week at least.
