As I am currently not active on ESO (wtb time ;)) but I was fiddling around with RadeonPro and SweetFX a while and experienced different problems that I had to work around with those with problems should maybe just try some of the next few things. I am currently running Win 8.1 (x64) and RadeonPro works with SweetFX.

    - Click the bluish "32bit"-link on RadeonPro in the lower right hand corner until it turns to 32/64bit. That makes sure it works with x86 as well as x64 executables.

    - While some people don't run SweetFX through RadeonPro but inject it directly through dxgi.dll and d3d9.dll (first for DX10/11 latter for DX9 games) they can use all the shaders that their used version of SweetFX offers. If you are using RadeonPro though you are limited to the shaders that have "options" available. Click on the checked shaders after you imported settings in RadeonPro and see if you can see values in the lower window. If you don't and just a blank box appears you have to uncheck that shader - you would use a shader without giving it options and that could ruin the whole preset (is what I experienced lately).
**this is due to the fact that RadeonPro uses the list of shaders and their options of a prior version of SweetFX.

    - If you see no change or the game crashes - there is a version of SweetFX (1.5.1 by boulotaur) that has x64-dll's. You might want to try that one out with both sets of dlls (32bit and 64bit). Maybe something of that might help. I can't tell as I am not aware what architecture eso.exe uses - though the OP just installs and it runs fine my guess is that you have to stick with the 32bit ones.

Just some points that could help one or two guys. I don't know. Have fun though :)

Downloaded, unzipped and put folder contents in the parent folder containing eso.exe without installing Radeon Pro. Game crashed on launch.

I'm assuming that it's due to my OS being W8.0 x64.

I have no addons and since a patch a week or two ago, the game looks even more amazing!

I wouldnt use any addon untill the game been stabilized a bit.

    Try using http://ge.tt/4CpDyZt/v/0

    It's K-putt'e's 1.5.1 with enhanced shaders and boulotaur's x64-support.
Extract all the contents to the directory containing and copy the dlls out of x64-DLL's-folder to your main directory and overwrite the existing ones.
    Maybe that will work.

I followed all these directions to a successfull install.

In game when i hit the "end" key i get a pop up that says "SweetFX is On" or conversely "Off" , however I do not see any change in the colors of the game. I used the presets that were listed on this page. Any suggestions?

As soon as I start the game from RadeonPro, it turns back to French and I lose all addons.
I do not see any difference between SweetFX on and off, although the text on character names looks a bit different, so I assume FXAA is working.

    I use Windows 8.1 on a Radeon R9 280 Dual-X 3GB
If you have any suggestions, let me know.

I do, though they're roughly a month late.

You do not need RadeonPro for this. I'm an x64 Win7 NVidia GTX 780 user - RadeonPro is non-functional for me; I suspect it clashes with NVidia's own 3D tools. Good news is that there's a standalone version that will work with your setup, regardless of other tools that you may or may not have installed.

Step 1: Follow Installation instructions as per here using Method 1. If you use Win8.1, be sure to follow the extended guide for changing your DX version:
    http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/game/467/

Step2: I've thrown together a standalone SweetFX_settings.txt which contains OP's settings for those who are unable to get RadeonPro to play nice. Just copypaste this into your SweetFX_settings.txt, save, enjoy:
    http://pastebin.com/rWNJnXE9

This is by far the nicest setting I've come across, OP. You should upload it to sweetFX's DB. Feel free to just yoink what I copypasted into that pastebin file - they're all your values, anyway!

Also, my personal edits following the 1.5 shaders:

Turn on film grain. Leave the values default. This adds just enough white noise to detract from the jaggies without impacting sharpness.

Change Curves mode from 0 to 2. This applies curves to both Luma and Chroma, instead of simply Luma alone. This helps bring the colors back into line with the rest of the contrast edits - shadows don't add, damn it.

I also prefer curve 14 - the experimental one.

Have fun, play around. If you upload a setting that builds on someone else's work, always credit your sources <3 Khajiit thinks sharing the sugar is best for all.

(oh... and psst, you'll lose the steam overlay. Sorry, just something about openGL games. I suspect this adds an openGL layer to edit these settings or something?)

Hey I followed your instructions and its not crashing on me, and I can defintly see the effects in the loading screen pictures but once I get into the charchter load or game world all I can see is the UI interface everything is completly black... I also changed the setting to SET GraphicsDriver.7 "D3D9" do I have to install some kinda DirectX or something?

Ok so I found the problem... Seems like I can't use my "super resolution" of 2263 x 1273 for the game when run D3D9 only for D3D11....

I love using sweet FX in ESO, been using it for awhile. Sometimes I toggle it on and off just to appreciate the transformation :p. The only issue I run in to is a petty issue, but it's always been there, figured I'd ask if anyone else has seen this. When I quit and end game, I always get an error saying ESO has stopped working. Not a big deal at all, it's easy to put up with, just thought their might be a quick easy fix, or maybe I did a step wrong, I didn't have this awesome step by step guide at the time when I set mine up, ha.

@YgolohcysP, in case you didn't resolve this many months ago, and for the record: If all of the controls in RadeonPro are disabled, then you must first follow the steps in "Step 10, Screen 5: Create an ESO game profile" in this thread's original post. Then you'll be able to check the "Enable SweetFX" box.

Click the piece of paper icon with a plus sign on it located two icons to the left of the gears icon. (See above). Browse to the directory where your eso.exe file is and double click the game's executable. On my PC, this is "D:\Programs\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client\eso.exe".

These are the kinds of mods that BAFFLES me. The fact that ZOS doesn't implement the features of SweetFX makes no sense to me. I don't feel like I get any hardware hit at all.

Anyway... I just installed this the other day and I absolutely love it... I do have a question though: Is there a way to change the fog existence while in-game. The fog is AWESOME in bad weather. Not having the fog when it's storming seems just as wrong as having the fog when it's bright and sunny.

Makes you wonder if the ONLY reason for the fog was so they didn't have to worry about texturing distant landscapes with detailed textures....

I never understood why people like to oversharpen and oversaturate stuff using SweetFX. Tried it with a few games (Skyrim, Amalur, ESO...) and never liked the effects. With it games look to me like some crappy Chinese/Korean MMOs. I only liked the FXAA injecting which was unnecessary because I used SMAA injector. But that is my opinion, to each his own.
