[Solved] Character lost to "Search and Rescue" Quest bug

Issue resolved - Playing through the quest on a different computer seemed to fix the problem.

I was playing a character in the Ebonheart Pact, trying to complete all the quests in Deshaan before moving on to the next zone.
I went to Deepcrag Den, south of Mournhold and took the quest "Search and Rescue". Upon accepting the quest, the game crashed; I had not even finished the conversation with the quest giver and could still hear her dialogue while the game was unresponsive.
I have tried to load the character again multiple times and each time the game has 'Quit unexpectedly' bringing up the crash reporter before the game transitions out of the loading screen into the game UI.
I am able to load other characters on my account and play them without issue, but I am currently unable to do anything with the character on that quest.
I have tried repairing through the game client and also lowering graphics options, nether have shown any difference to the issue.
Has anyone else had the same issue, or can offer any ideas on possible workarounds so that I can play that character again?

Maehdro✭✭Managed a workaround; Borrowed a friends laptop and completed the quest.
I am now able to play normally on my computer without crashing.
Not sure why exactly that worked.0
