Initial loading/loader screen - prior to the "Play" option - three min so far.

Hi all, here's the problem.
Its with the initial loader, its taking a long time to load to the point where I can select the Play option. (after that it then further loads to the User ID and Password page.)
I have been loading now for 6 minutes, I have been scrolled through all the "Loading" images twice (I think).
Its now seven minutes, and I've opened Task Manager, and "Launcher" is oscillating between "Running" and "Not Responding", CPU usage is likewise oscillating between 3% and 21%, and there is some Internet traffic.
I have shut the loader down via Task Manager and restarted it twice now, with the same results.
Hope this helps ID an issue, if someone has a suggestion I'm all ears.
PS I have been playing since Beta, same rig same setup so this is a new issue for me.
