If the developers are going to keep forcing players to fight overpowered monsters in dungeons, then they must allow us older players who have no friends online to have up to four followers that we outfit and develop in the game that we can use as our group. In the world we can only use 1 character but all will get exp and level up normally. When entering a dungeon where developers could not resist making it for group play only, then we can use all 4 of our characters to play the dungeon and don not get left out of playing those parts of the game we payed to play all of. It should not be a hard thing to do as my summoned creature already attacks the first monster I attack and all others after that. and I have seen it done in Dragon Age I and II.

There are videos of people soloing the dungeon content already. In fact, the Craglorn area we're testing right now, there's a guy who posted his vid of him soloing the delve content. It's entirely possible if you know your class and the abilities involved.

That said, this is an mmo. And grouping for harder content is used by all mmos because that's what was intended for the game. To be able to come together with people. There is a grouping tool that you can use to group with random people so you don't have to have 'three other friends' online to go do content with.

No. That is a very different game to the one everybody else is playing. It would also require a significant amount of development work. Why not use the grouping tools (built into the game) to find 3 other people to help with dungeons?

    Wait a minute?
What do you mean saying you don't have friends in game?
I consider myself an older player and only thing I had to do in any mmo was type 'Looking for raiding/pve/helpful/pvp guild' and was spammed by offers.
Do the first step and it will be easy.
Or if you are like me and prefer serious guilds, do a websearch and try to find serious gaming community.
I applied to the guild I am playing with in early beta of Rift, I met great people and played many games with them.
Show some effort and you may see great results.

I understand how people have been having difficulty in dungeons. They're hard, they're meant to be hard so you play as a team. A couple weeks ago it was a regular occurrence for my groups to get owned in a dungeon, and some fell apart because of it. But now that more people know the mechanics, they're pretty much cakewalk.

The mechanics aren't particularly difficult, stay out of red, kill adds, bring a proper tank, healer and 2 dps. Tank holds agro and blocks bosses heavy attacks, dps does their thing and doesn't take unnecessary damage, healer heals. Everyone uses their synergy abilities at the correct times. Should be good to go. Dungeons aren't meant for you to be playing solo with a bonus of 3 other people playing solo near you, your supposed to play as a team. Do that and it's not hard to pound dungeons.

Perhaps you should try what one of the loading screen tips says, if you're having difficulty with something then change your skills up a bit or rethink your armor/weapon. Or just level up more and then come back that content later.

@shawn.b That's not what he meant. He doesn't seem to know what the dungeon grouping tool is for or how to use it, so the op believes they need to have friends online in order to do them. He could be attempting them thinking that content was meant to be solo'd, I suppose, in which, my earlier comment still applies.

Ahh I see. I did not read clearly enough. Then yes, pressing 'P' and going into the LFG tab to make a party would help him out, or just paying attention to zone chat when they see someone say: LF1M DPS, spindle
