When I was doing a quest in Rivenspire (Not an area for noobs) when I was nearly crowded out by lots of soul shred clothed bots teleporting between npc to npc and then carrying out the last fight in a bedroom I was in. So does this mean you can bot all quests??? How sad is that?

Here's some screenies for your perusal and no I didn't officially report because I am not going to spend the next half hour trying write all their stupid random letter names down never mind putting the report together. Too many of them anyway popping in out very quickly.

Probably powerleveling so they can be used on higher level dungeons.

They use wallhacks, teleportations and things not yet patched

    This just blows my mind.

Is someone paying for the powerleveling so that they don´t have to play through the game? If so, why!?

A very large portion of a game like this is leveling the character, experiencing the story. They are botting through that?

Each to their own, but ... holy crap!

Holding F on them and clicking report player, selecting Cheat/Abuse and typing 3 letters(bot) in the description is really that hard? I bet it took more effort to upload those screen shots. Which by the way are violating the TOS since you are naming players you think are bots, while I'm sure they are bots, rules are rules.

Posting this here isn't going to accomplish anything but get you in trouble for naming and shaming. Next time you see a bot with a weird name, hold down the F key while you're facing him and then click report player. The name is automatically put in there, then all you have to do is click exploiting and then make a note that they're botting in the box and you're done. That doesn't take a half hour, that takes less than 30 seconds.
Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

No, they're not playing the game. These bots are (probably) being used by the goldsellers to generate the gold they're selling.

They may also be power leveling accounts so they can sell those too, but yeah.

Never did understand why there is a "witness protection program". I, for one, am firm supporter of naming and shaming. If you *** off the community, karma's a ***. ESPECIALLY since we are in a "one world" megaserver.

    Now back on topic,

    I agree.

They're powerleveling. They're teleporting in between the room in the inn and the Fell's Run Wayshrine. If you go to the shrine, you see them porting in about 1 a second or so gaining a level.

It's to prevent players from coming on with spurious claims and starting a dog-pile. If you have four or five players who are pissed with someone, the could come on the boards and make utter BS claims about that player.

For instance, you have someone announcing that they're reporting players camping the bloodfiends for griefing. Then one of your bloodfiends spawncampers come on the boards with a story about how this guy just ripped off their guild's bank. Then a couple hours later someone else surfaces with a similar story to the first guy, and so on until you've got four or five different stories of how this guy clears out guild banks, and the inevitable pile on effect, because no one likes someone screwing other people. And, suddenly, life is utter hell for that player on a false reputation.

So, they say: "No naming and shaming." It doesn't make much sense with bots because they don't care, but... you can't say, "no naming and shaming except for the bots," because then you'd have people naming and shaming non-bot farmers.

Not really, it would make it very difficult for a solo player to do anything if the dungeon or area is full of AFK people...

The statement "if you put enough monkeys behind enough typewriters... sooner or later one will produce the works of Shakespeare" has sadly been proven utterly wrong by the internet...

There was an outbreak of this in Cold Harbour yesterday - the gold sellers automate any quest giving a reasonable amount of gold as a reward and which doesn't involve fighting (or which involves a winnable fight preferably with little or no risk).
    - There are two ways to solve the problem, the first is to make the zones have a hard level requirement and the second is to scale rewards to the level of the person turning it in.

Umm....this isn't just one player, this is shed loads of them popping in and out like quarks. So never 30 seconds.

Greetings. This thread has been closed. Calling out specific players one believes to be violating our Terms of Service falls under "naming and shaming," which is not allowed on the forums.

The best way to bring suspicious in-game activity to our attention is to use the in-game "Report Player" functionality. Thank you.
