Sheathe on back?

some caster animation that require both hands (Crystal Shards, Earthen Shield, etc) briefly sheathe weapons on BACK instead of hips, does that mean we have a hope that sheathing on back will be an option later? Or is it just an overlook, a remainder of a discarded idea?
