Horse's normal speed vs sprinting speed

I have two really important questions. Please help! I'm buying my first expensive horse and want to make a good decision.
1. if you add speed to horse does it affect only normal speed or both normal speed and sprinting speed?
2. if you add stamina to a horse does it add sprinting speed or only sprinting stamina?

Xithian✭✭✭Stamina only adds to the stamina bar. That bar is not simply how long your horse can run, but rather how much damage it can take before you get knocked off. When you are sprinting on your horse and the bar his empty you don't just slow to a walk, but with an empty bar taking any damage at all will knock you off the horse.
I do not know if Speed affects sprinting or just base walk speed.0
