Would this exact use of multiple accounts be "legal"?

I'm contemplating creating a second account for myself, which I would be using for the following purposes:

- Send mail from main account characters to second account characters on the go, thus alleviating the pain of having to organize my inventory for about an hour, after every quest.
- Use second account characters as a bank/expanded inventory for first account characters.
- Maybe create a guild which would consist of my first and second account and 8+ patsies, so i could use the guild bank for personal storage.
- I would not level the second account characters obviously, but since some travel might be neccesary at one point or another, they might rise to level 6, I estimate. I would make use of the skill points to hire crafting mat helpers.

If not all of these intended uses are "legal", please let me know which are and which aren't. I suspect the first two would be fine, with the last two being a bit iffy.

I hope you guys are okay with receiving two subscription fees instead of one and allow multi-accounting. I'm just asking because I've seen some posts detailing weird limitations on multi-accs and I would not want to risk being banned, as I immensely enjoy this game.

EDIT: Requesting a dev. response. The faster you answer, the faster you get an additional subscription, depending on the answer.

Anything automated (not automated by the game itself) is against the TOS. Anything not automated is working as intended until otherwise specified.

... what about automating bank deposits? Automating pulling guild bank items, stacking them, then depositing them again... ?

anything you can make a macro to do or an outside program that you are not physically doing would tech be agains the terms of service and would make you a bot and game companies in general tend to frown on that.

Like say if you use synapse to create a macro that with one push of a button completely automates the crafting process and you leave it to do its thing for an hour at a time....that would be a no no and has got me in trouble in other games that even had macro's built in (they don't like it when you circumvent their limits put in place).

there's no law saying you can't have multiple ESO accounts. I doubt governments will care... except maybe China's.

But to answer the OP, what you propose doesn't sound like it would be breaking the TOS unless you slapped them in your group and set them to perm follow and used them as a loot or heal bot (which long time ago used to be the in thing to do). God I haven't duelboxed in ages.

I did put legal in quotes, didn't I? Which was intended to suggest I was not referring to actual laws but to the terms of service, on which I was drawing a blank, wasn't it?

Following that logic, addons like Roomba or Feed an Army would get you banned ? I doubt it. Both were updated with Thieve's guild, and even if Feed an Army (crafts as much food/drink as you mant has 8k downloads and Roomba has nearly 80k downloads. That makes for a LOT of potential users and people who would get banned.

I do not see why there would any problems doing what you are suggesting. Two accounts are paid for. I just wonder will ESO let you run two instances of the game or will you need two computers?

I dont think macroing is against the terms of service. Unattended macroing where your character is doing things while you arent even at the keyboard I believe is where they draw the line.

We are locking and closing this discussion as it is two years out of date and considered a necro of what may be outdated information.

    To confirm information:

Owning two accounts - This is allowed so long as they are both owned solely by the player.
Macros/addons - Any modification that is leading a player to an unbalanced advantage or gain over the average player (otherwise considered exploitative) is against the Terms of Service. If you would like more information on specific instances, we would suggest contact Customer Support as they have more specifics and details and can elaborate further on this response.
