[Urgent] Bot report(s) *GM requested*

Cyphernihil_ESO
Cyphernihil_ESO
Soul Shriven
Would like to start a forum post to get GM's attention to certain areas where bots are localized and to send them to Oblivion. Don't know if there is an actual post lead by Zenimax or the support team in-game; but here's another post (if there is one please post a re-direction link).
Would like the community to help keep this post alive with updated information to help the GM's clean up the bots and/or spammers (since they are a type of bot). Bots can and do hinder gameplay and game progression, so this subject needs to be address and handled professionally.

-Rules/Regulations *simplified*
This is a post strictly for reports of bots and/or spammers.
Please post Time and Date along with Location and Name(s) of said bots you are reporting.
Do not just post "bump", if you have the same report as another; please repost and/or like the previous post etc.
Keep this forum post clean and simple to ensure swift and precise justice.

    From the Community Rules:
Naming-and-Shaming: We do not allow posts or threads that are created for the purpose of “naming-and-shaming” other community member(s). “Naming-and-shaming” is the act of creating a post to call out an individual or group by name, and making them the subject of public accusation, ridicule and/or shaming. Generally, naming-and-shaming involves an in-game situation and/or Terms of Service violation, which the ESO Community Team is unable to assist with. A certain amount of rivalry and competitive razzing is healthy for any game community, especially one with PVP elements, but naming-and-shaming goes well beyond that. It typically elevates to a point where the subject feels legitimately harassed. We believe that naming-and-shaming posts and threads can be abused and are very harmful to the community. We also don't feel that publicly calling out or accusing others by name on our forums is in spirit of the game or our community. If you genuinely believe someone has violated our Terms of Service, you should report them in-game via the support interface — do not bring the situation onto the official ESO community forums.

This happened 2 days ago. In the area where the Glenumbra CE Treasure Map chest is, there is an altar close by. I was digging up my chest and I keep seeing these level 2 players spawn at the altar, make the animation and sound to harvest ore nodes then take 5 "steps" back like they were slipping on ice, then disappear momentarily then reappear. They would vanish for a few minutes then another one with a gibberish name would appear, rinse repeat. Ore node scum-bots.

Let's just say 4 of them died (I will not mention how, use your imagination about AOE mobs). I got tired and left, never did return to see if there were have been around the last few days. This was around 17:00-18:00 EST. I would have gotten a SS but they were fast, until they were getting attacked. It was fun to stick it to the scumbags.

As a veteran MMO player, I have seen many awesome games get destroyed by bots and hackers in the past 5 years.

I have reported many bots as I go through dungeons, however what I saw in Coldharbour really scared me! Somehow these cyber criminals (that I hope they all get run over by a bus) have gotten access to game keygen, and have unlimited access codes as of now!

I saw thousands and thousands of bots with very low lvl being teleported all over the place and speed hack through some quests so they can get high lvl to camp dungeons and nodes EVERYWHERE!

At this stage reporting or having GMs going after individuals is not realistic anymore. How can a GM ban this many accounts? With this rate by next month they’ll be millions of fake accounts and bots.

What this game need is a punkbuster of some sort, I like this game and hope it’ll be around for a longtime but this is not looking good. They really need to have a security company come in and help develop security feathers for them. They also need to reauthenticate all accounts and delete all of these hack accounts.

4/27/2014, Del's Claim, I can not give names because there were SO MANY and the names we jibberish. I'd say possibly 6 to 8 bots, half Templar and the other Dragonknights farming spawns.

Report bots in game. Forum not the place to get GM assistance.

If they want locations & times of bot sightings, they have their massive pile of reports to look at.

Was just in there and there is now twice as many. Luckily there was a DK in there that dragged boss away from bots so we could get a kill. It's getting worse. (yes reported in game and gave screenshot).

Can`t be true... i thought the account that character belongs too is also banned.

If its not then there is no point in banning them as they will always make new characters.

There are people who get accidentally banned in these mass bot killings/banning and they report only thier character is unplayable not the account.

They're locking the characters (the GMs) not the account. As that is what their access allows. Source: many people characters locked in error when they AFK'ed at bosses.

So what they are doing is really not helpful at all because they will just make a new character.

They are not dealign with anything.

I know the GM killing bots was a nice touch - but they are BANNING CHARACTERS not accounts. I intentionally put all those who got killed on ignore, and week later, they are still on the list.

Those people are still botting. Nothing was gained.

To be honest putting GMs in game banning bots was always just a publicity move, to make it seem like something is being done. The game is overrun by bots. They would put 100 GMs in 24x7 teleporting between dungeons locking, it wouldn't make a dint anyway.

What they are doing, which will actually help, is working the problem behind the scenes. For example, bots are teleporting underground and harvesting resources while being invisible. If they fix that, bye bye most bots.

I'd love to see Bots not be banned. Let the farmers keep paying their $15 sub fee.

Instead flag them as PVP enabled to their own alliance. (but cannot fight back)
Disable their ability to send mails, so they cannot offload their loot/coin.
    Let the players police them.
    Make their corpses lootable.

Most of the Bot accounts are Hacked/Free accounts!
