maholi✭✭✭Are you talking about the fact that you have to jump to your death? Are we sure that's not game design? (gah I hope not) Maybe there is another way to complete it that we haven't figured out yet? I was able to do it lastnight but it did make me want to force that game designer to do it twice in a row before he could leave :P1

maholi✭✭✭Well, I will agree that that quest will lose a lot of players. On mumble with people when they are trying to do it saying things like, "I have half a mind to just cancel my credit card right now". And worse things that can't really be repeated. And this is from normally calm collected people.4

I was very frustrated over that 4th brazier myself... I kept seeing people jumping on that pillar thing and then to their deaths... Took me an evening of playing The Elder Lara Croft and nothing...
The day after I tried again, got frustrated again, then someone gave me the tip... don't jump on the pillars... Stand behind the last one on groundlevel... walk from right to left, jump left and spam E...

pxlforge✭Is there some kind of trick to making the jump onto that pillar? I'm not sure why the video above is helpful - that one worked fine for me - Its the 2 further north I can't figure out.

siledre✭✭✭this was a pain, the only thing I think they should change is how long the flame you're carrying lasts, there were a few times the flame ran out before I could actually cast it in the jump.0

pxlforge✭As much as I love it, this game is dead to me til this bug is fixed. If I wanted to do trick jumping I would play console games. I spent over an hour running around naked jumping to my death. Not remotely fun.1

dobrt✭It's really quite amusing how some people on this forum berate and complain about others who are frustrated with the "broken" quests, while others are more than helpful with directing others on a "work-a-round".
It's unfortunate, but I do understand the frustration, as (without exaggeration) almost all zones have bugs or bots which do ruin the gameplay. Also having to jump your character to it's death in their skivvies to accomplish a stage in the main story line may seem normal to the average MMO player, but to the real Elder Scrolls player it appears juvenile and unprofessional and degrades the Elder Scrolls genre.
The fact of the matter is there should be no need for work-a-rounds by the customers, and people frustrated with "broken" quests (the main quest line none the less) at this point in the production of the game.
Another amusing point is the abuse given to those who post they are cancelling their subscription. Just because someone indicates they are indeed canceling their subscription does not always indicate they are quitting the game. There is still anywhere from 5 to now 9 days remaining in the 30 day purchase sub.
IMO, this product is still in the beta phase and not ready to demand a subscription rate. The present status of the product is such that it appears it will always be in the beta phase where the customer is always asked to trial the product and report errors rather than enjoy a working product.
I, and quite a few others, are not satisfied with the status-quo of the gaming industry or some of the gamers attitudes with regards to "all new games have bugs, and we should accept that". No. It may not make that much of a difference but I will not pay a subscription for a game that should still be in beta phase. The Elder Scrolls name brought me to this game and I was hesitant because it was a MMO. This product in it's present state confirmed my decision to ignore MMO's, but I will keep looking in to see if there are improvements.9 -

The funny part is, its not at the edge of the cliff... There is some rocky spikes before the cliff that looks the most nearest spot to do it.. but its hard to show u know! I ve done long ago! My alt is 20, if you wait me lvl up to 50, I may be able to show u then .. lol
Basically this spot is so hard to find, more like searching fleas in the valley. But yeah!! There is 1 spot u can do it, without jumbing.Edited by Perseas on April 28, 2014 5:48PM0 -

ShuRun✭✭Yeah this is bugged quest - i made second Vet toon and first time I didnt have to jump to my death 100 times. WTF eso. Cmon. This is insanity. People are right to be frustrated. Let the bots sell whatever the hack they want - i can ignore them. But fix the quests. They are more frustrating in this game then anything else. Especially the ones you can not skip for your progression.2

I did that same as others, took my armour off and jumped / fell a little to the left, then as I was falling quickly aim up at the fire and spam 'E'
I think I got it on my fourth or fifth time of trying.

dobrt✭I believe TSO should allow the 1-50 lvl content FTP and charge subscriptions to the veteran content after the completion of the final assault.
Before the fan boys go off ranting at me.....yes it is possible. If TSO can release an incomplete beta product with countless bugs and no MMO engine upgrades from almost 20 years of MMO problems and still figure a way for people to pay subscriptions, I'm sure they could figure out how to bill subscriptions after finishing the final assault. This might also give TSO the incentive to expedite the repairs......1 -

kasain✭✭✭I spent four hours on this yesterday and one hour today. All in failure. I even saw how the quest should of been in both videos before and after the bug.
Took a break, got Veteran rank, then as a slap in my face it says to do anything veteran related you must do storyline quest. Hence go jump to your death for four more hours again.
I sorry, I will go play Final Fantasy until they fix this and other quest. It is not worthy of a subscription fee. Forget the bots for now fix the quest!!!! all broken ones, then, Job abilities, lastly focus bots!0 -
Juponen✭✭✭C'mon, the jump requirement is highly annoying but hardly impossible. I'm definitely not the nimblest person at keyboard&mouse but even I could jump&light the 4th brazier several times and repeatedly after some practice. Oh, why did I light it repeatedly? Because I had not noticed that one of the easy lights had bugged out meanwhile and the quest did not advance until I had relit it.
