plant nodes with only worms

Fer bejesus' sake, just delete the damnable worms if you don't want them. Don't leave a node with just worms in it like a jerk.

FFS Do the people doing this realize that they aren't the only ones to see the nodes?

The worst thing is, I believe nodes don't respawn if they aren't emptied completely

Very rarely have I run into this, but it's happened. My problem is seeing a node (but it doesn't have that glow around it like it should since I put a skill point in keen eye) and so I go up and begin to pick it, and it simply disappears.

Seriously though, I know exactly what you mean.

"Ooo Water Hyacinth, I need more of them!" Run up, hover mouse pointer over hyacinth and it disappears!

I'd almost take a worm at that point, just to not feel so dissappointed.

Happened to me too, that means it has been very recently picked. Could be teleporting bots or the nodes are shared between phases/instances?

My inventory was full last night and I went to pick up the node and it showed the worm in overflow loot window. I wasn't gonna toss loot around to pick up the worm, now I feel like a jerk

Yeah, that has happened to me, too, and on rare occasion I get an "F to interact" menu that comes up over the disappearing node, too. At first I thought it was some gold farmer hack, but now I think it's just a megaserver phasing error. I don't think nodes are supposed to be shared between phases/instances, but there are perhaps a few nodes here and there that are bugged.

I have been guilty myself of leaving the worms in the node because I do not use them. I then noticed it was frustrating people. I now take it upon myself to empty the node and delete the worms from my inventory

One error I have run into is that I get the keen eye glow but no nodes. This affect all nodes at once, logging out and inn solves it.

I once had an log disappear for me with the axe sound, I thought bot but not in an populated area

Because it's SO much more "immersive" to see (and hear!) nirnroot only to find...the plant doesn't actually exist at all, it's just worms.

I have yet to see anyone say "Oh boy a worm!", immersion or not. Perhaps you could start a poll to keep worms in nodes for 'immersion' but I have a feeling that you will be outvoted.

I have yet to see anyone say "Oh boy a worm!", immersion or not. Perhaps you could start a poll to keep worms in nodes for 'immersion' but I have a feeling that you will be outvoted.

To be fair, there was a point where I was hoping and praying to get worms while picking nodes just so I could use those worms as bait for some ocean fishing. Now that I have several stacks though, I see worms and am like meh.

I was one those people you speak of. But then the same thing happened to me some time later it hit me ohhh duhhh and stopped doing it ever since, I just delete the worm no big deal. Wonder how the node bots like getting worms though just a thought?

Considering they're automated bots, they don't 'like' anything at all. They'll get slightly less overall resources in the time they're running, but they won't actually *** anyone off. Actual players on the other hand...

I just shrug when I get a node that has only worms in it and I take it so it'll clear. I'm never THAT hard up for bag space. Heck, if I happen to pass by a fishing hole, I might even stop and fish with them - at least the fish sell for something at the vendor ....

But if the basic point was, "people can be real jerks sometimes," well, agreed

The latter. Players in other phases of quests in the area can be invisible to you. This simply means a player was farming the node who was at a different point in a quest in the area.

I use an addon that auto-deletes bait when looted.

It's called LootFilter, and it's on ESOUI. I recommend this, or something similar, to anybody who... well... plans to loot things.

Justification is mine! Thank you kindly sir. I shall gladly pluck the next worms out of a node and leave the plant for you.

The funny part about this is I check plants just for the worms. I tend to fish a lot and worms are hard to come by. I do not mess with Alchemy so I check em just for the worms. The only time I am bummed out when only a worm is in a plant is when it is a plump worm which is for cooking.

So I am trying to keep the plants clean of worms and crawlers haha.
