I'm having a spectacular time playing ESO.

I am a fan of Elder Scrolls games but I wouldn't say I'm fanboi status because if something is wrong I will give them a reasonable amount of time to fix it before I go all doom and gloom.

Actually I don't waste too much time dooming and glooming I just unsubscribe an move on. I'm willing to give ESO 180 days to straighten out some of the problems, I'm still enjoying and having fun even with some problems I've had.

I also wanted to say Kudos to the whole ESO team (I don't even know if they will read this) Negatives are easy to point out in a game but being positive is what will help this community thrive and have lasting power.

The game imo is unique and imo will go down in history as a classic in MMO's. I'm a PvE person and this game has ALOT of it 1-50, 50+, 50++!!! I just wanted to throw a message in a bottle out there and hope some other positive people pick it up and read it. Wishing you fun and LOOT in your ESO experience. <3

The game has some problems, but overall i am very happy with it. Some people called it a quick moneygrab by making a mmo but i think they should give the developers some more credit. They have made a very nice looking game with good features and a very nice world with good quests.

I haven't experienced the game-breaking bugs people talk about. For the quests i did all quests on all 5 areas of DC and only 3 where bugged and 2 where fixed with a relog. The quest "liberation at northpoint" i just had to NOT listen to the majority by standing at the fountain as the quest updated once i stood on the graveyard (and the gargoyle played no part in the quest)

And 2 world bosses are bugged for me (Summoner and Staada) but they are not gamebreaking or keeping me from advancing.

Currently i am (almost) lvl 43 and play a lot of PvP. I haven't finished the main story line yet and neither the mage or fightersguild.

I cannot tell if i play this game over a year still. I thought i would be playing SWTOR forever, but quit after 3 months. So only time will tell.

    But so far:

I'm having a terrific time playing ESO!

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

That is, between the bots, boss campers and combat bugs. Otherwise, I would be enjoying it immensely.

Idk the word for it. I'm bored though, just waiting around for a game-changing update. I can't see myself subbing next month at the current state of the game, it's just not worth paying for at the moment. Im Vet 4.

    I'm having a great time.
I usually leave mmo's in three months though... the only one that kept me for years is lotro.
This game would need some fluff to keep me as interested as lotro did. (Housing, cosmetic system, dungeons and raids, events, even daily quests)
It does absolutely have the potential imo and I hope it's going that direction!

    not sure tbh....

I want to say great...but I also want to say mediocre....

I love the game, but the more I play, the more I see that wasn't designed well imo. The gameplay was great, but the farther I get, the less "new" shine it has, and the more I wonder if I am going to keep my sub...

Anyway, to each their own. Glad to see some people are loving their time.

I was having an awesome time playing ESO.

Until I got to PVP (Wich I LOVED in Beta, and considered unprecidented and epically awesome beyond measure. PVP was the carrot-on-a-stick for me to finish PVE) and realized that in order to match the V10s (which i have seen, and been slain in the following scenario, killing 4-5 lvl 30-v1 players on 1 V10), I am required to grind through the other alliance's quests.

Just when I thought I was at the end game... TBH, I appreciate the "option" to do this with one toon. However, considering there is not 1 effective way to gain veteran ranks outside of committing this treasonous act of.. well.. treason (This is WAR, remember?), I feel that I am "forced" to help my enemy (after I have joined with them for the sole purpose of thwarting Molag Bal and saving Nirn. Which we did.
I think even though they "fudged" it into the story, it is a major continuity error in the plot, and a total buzzkill to "alliance RP". Obviously just a band-aid so people still have something to do after they reach lvl 50 (as if PVP wasn't enough.. cause it is!) until more content is released.

The solution I offer: Just give us 1 or 2 ways to level up VRs in our own alliance or in cyrodiil (dono why cyrodill has no meaningful experience or rewards, but that's for another topic)

How can I RP that I hate elves if i'm running quests for an elf queen, that is actively trying to impose dominion over mankind? Or aid a race of slave-traders?
The High king needs me on the battlefield of Cyrodiil! I was a Proud Redguard of the Daggerfall Covenant... turned traitor and deserter.

In conclusion, and the second piece of bread in this ***-sandwich, I think this game is the best thing to happen to MMOs since SWG. It breaks the WOW mould and like I said up top, unparalleled PVP, the likes of which have never been seen.
Cool crafting system and the launch bugs are certainly manageable. Lots of potential, you've displayed so far, Zenimax.

Customer service is the worst ive ever experienced. Got hit by the bank bug hard, and ive been battling with them for weeks to get it fixed. Ive spent more time fighting with them than playing the game. They lost 2 subscribers here, my wife and I, because of their *** poor service.

Im having a good time , i like the story.

I do find bugs over bugs and then even more bugs. Today i found atleast more 2/3 bugs that do not allow me to complete an area , like killing a boss that does not count or just another quest with issues.

Still , the story goes on , and i enjoy it.

Good, it'd be awsome but i'm stuck with a horrible case of re-rollitis because I see some kind of sparkly new toy (here's looking at you silver bolts) that doesn't fit my current build/role that i planned out with a character.

Or finding out that the build you made is horrible at leveling.

First time I'll say this in an mmo, but far too many choices X_X!

My main is a templar , currently lvl 47 , and yet , i keep going to lvl my alts all the time. I just cant decide which class i want.

Right now i get this feeling i should just focus on my dk or wizard ...

I'm having a spiffing time playing ESO.

The game has issues, mainly bugs (big surprise) & is pretty awful when trying to quest with friends. Then we have the bot & gold seller army.
Plus the marketing has been pretty shifty (blocking Imperial race & the ability to chose any race for any faction unless you buy Imperial edition/pre-order. Plus that £10 horse)

With that said the positives far outweigh the negatives as far as I see it.
The crafting system is the best I've seen in any game.
Character building is far from another warrior, rouge, mage scenario. But it can be if you want it to.
Character creation is much better than past TES games.
We finally get to see some of the areas that we have never seen before & experience their cultures.
Combat is more than the typical spam mouse clicks to win MMOs have become. Nor is it the old way of stand still & press 1,2,3,1,2,5,6 to win.
PVP is actually fun, even when the vampire Nightblades of doom come batswarming in.
Most impotently it's fun, surprisingly fun. I have not had this much fun in an MMO since my first.

& as a bonus, it's still not as buggy as Skyrim.
Yet that game got a free pass for some reason.

    PVP is actually fun,

I just need to emphasize this point, and, rather than adding it to my comment, I feel it should be stand-alone. This really is a remarkably skillful combat system with many possibilities as far as style and tactics goes. Contrary to what some may say, I really like the 5 slot x2 action bar, as it allows more unique customization to classes. Block and bash also add a new dynamic to combat. PVP is really, really fun: 1v1, horde vs horde, siege...
I'm excited to continue playing this game
