Why veteran ranks will kill this game

people grind to get to 50 go through 5 zones . Then they finally hit 50 its like oh sweet im max level. Oh wait no . You have to grind through 10 more borring zones. That don't even make sense bcause its ANOTHER FACTIONS ZONES. LIKE WTF WHERE YOU THINKING? Then it's like craglorn is going to let you lvl to vet rank 12????????????????????????????????? WHERE IS THE ENDGAME CONTENT ALL I SEE IS MORE GRINDING LOOOOOOOOOL FAIL

I like the quests, though I would a have preferred if you stayed in your alliance and played against the others as sort of a quest filled invasion force though. It really seems to be more of a bandage to keep folks from sitting around at the max level for too long before they release more content, Craglorn being the first in this case.

I did plan to create alts in each alliance to do their quests but since I am already doing them I really don't want to do that now.

This is obviously not your type of game. Go back to Blizzard or Sony and just buy your max level character so you can stop complaining about the "boring endless grind lolz" and start complaining about how you "are max level and there is nothing to do".

Seriously, some of you people will complain about ANYTHING. I'm glad leveling is slow. It's supposed to be in a game built around progression. Besides, if you *really* wanted to just level and skip the "boring" content there are ways to level faster. There are already VR10 people out there so just go find the streamers who were bypassing the bulk of content to level as fast as possible and just copy what they did. I don't understand why anyone would want to do that but knock yourself out. Either way..quit whining about nothing so the game's actual issues get more attention.

Im pissed because half the quests in vet rank zones are bugged. So how am i meant to complete content that doesn't work.................. woooooooooooooooooow

You have a problem just because it is called Veteran Ranks 1-10?
It could be lvl 51-60. Would that be OK for you? You can also complain about why there are 50 lvls, not 40 or 2... like:

Then they finally hit lvl 2 its like "Oh, sweet. I'm max level." Oh wait no. You have to grind through 6 boring zones up to lvl 50.

yeap , i heard about it , still , it is not only in vet ranks , i have been stuck in 5/6 quests this last week, lucky enough , pre vet ranks quests dont literally block your progress completely.

appearantly the best way is to get a good tank/heal/dps spec

complete maps (make all little icons white)
do cadwells almanach quests
then grind 4man dungeons, over and over

at least one can do this with other people as phasing prevents questing together.

alternative: there are some methods that could be considered exploits, and are at least in a grey zone that are even faster.

You can reach VT 10 in RvR you know, you don't "have" to grind the other zones if you don't want to.

I'm part of a rare group of people that actually likes questing and leveling up.
People always whine that they want to be max level as soon as possible...and then find out there is nothing to do except the same thing over and over again (like dungeons or PvP).

I wish there WERE 150 levels. Hell, make it 1500 levels. Remove the level cap altogether. Let us level forever. That way noone will whine about how slow leveling is or how boring endgame is.

1 Vet rank is about 10 regular levels equivalent, In that sense think game has 150 levels

are you feeling ok? im getting angry because they make it out as if its all fresh new content when all it is is content for other factions . WHY THE HELL WOULD WE BE ABLE TO DO CONTENT FOR OTHER FACTIONS?

I don't really see the problem, game has 60 levels not 50, except the last 10 are much more difficult. Less unskilled players to wipe my 12 man trials/vet dungeons.

What i really dont understand is the fact that ZM is putting immersion in front of almost everything and i can understand that and like the idea, but if immersion is so important why do you have play in the others factions zones then and do all the quests to get VR10? This absolutely destroys all the immersion.

I like the ability to level up further. It sorts the noobs/kids from the more mature player base and less likely to wipe on bosses in dungeons, because people will actually listen.

Why would it destroy immersion? The story explains why you are going to the other factions. I see nothing wrong with it. I think it's a pretty clever design to maximize the content. There is no other MMO that has had this much content at launch that I am aware of and yet people still find a way to complain about it.

I agree, to some extent (not the delivery), with OP. My toon HATES elves. And now i have to become the lapdog of the pointy-eared queen of a race that sees the race of Men as lesser beings? And eventually hang out with a bunch of slavers?

Do you know what I did to every traitor I encountered in my alliance zones? Had them put to DEATH. For treason. WE ARE AT WAR.

I also agree that it's cool to have the OPTION to do this, but at this point, if you want veteran ranks, the ONLY effective way of levelling up past V1 is to go and save a bunch of elves' days!

My character would place my axe firmly in Queen Aryenn's pompous head if he got close enough for her to hear my toon call her "My queen". /spit

Once again, THIS IS WAR. according to the story, I VANQUISHED Molag Bal, and SHATTERED his attempt to merge Cold Harbour and Nirn. Now, rather than doing the same thing to the other alliances and their attempt to crown their own emperor, I have to do the same thing in the other alliances and aid their war effort and help them on the home front?

My point, and I think the point of OP, is simply to leave this as an option, and give us a chance to effectively reach V10 in our alliance territory/cyrodiil.

EDITED because i should add: This is the best MMO i've played since SWG. I say this because i love lol. If you just end up letting the Devs do whatever they think is best to turn a dime, you end up with something like NGE. This game rocks, and just because I, and many of the above posters, take issure with something, does not mean it's a bad game.

I can appreciate your dedication to your alliance. Considering your hatred for Queen Aryenn I must assume you are part of the Ebonheart Pact as that is the only true alliance and will claim the Ruby throne! I hear there is some other collection of misfits called Daggerfall something or other but not worth mentioning.

In all seriousness there is a huge difference in your post and the OP. He is obviously hating on the game or trolling or something. To suggest there is no end-game content is ridiculous. You may not like how it's presented but that is different. He didn't say he had some lore-centric reason for not going to other factions he said the leveling all around is a boring grind. If that's what you think then maybe this isn't the game for you? I don't know what could have been expected but I'm loving the leveling experience.

p.s. You didn't vanquish Molag Bal. you bested him and set him back temporarily. The idea behind going to the other factions is more or less reconnaissance so if you look at it that way maybe it would be more palatable for you?

That's basically how i'm looking at it. I'll free any Daggerfall spies I find and mercilessly slay and maliciously mess with the lives of hard-working elves while behind enemy lines lol

I'm glad people like you are being discouraged from playing. It's seriously amazing in vet areas because there's no spammers, no immature children, and there's no one there. Plus the quests are enjoyable without a ton of people.

I've played in Auridon yesterday and there were almost no bots or gold sellers arround. Maybe one gold seller but far less than usual.

@Neo Veteran rank is the only thing that saves this game TBH. If this game did not have VR I would have removed the game from my hard drive by now.
