How can Zenimax GMs not notice the bots?

How on earth can the Zenimax GMs not notice these bots? Just entered a public dungeon and found these:

From what I can count there are at least 20 bots there... How on earth can they go unnoticed? Why don't someone just go ban them, it is obvious to everyone what they are doing.

You may want to consider using photobucket.com , because that link is requiring me to download something, and I do not trust things like that, ESPECIALLY from a game that is riddled with botters and hackers.

Q: Why aren't the bots noticed?
A: They do get noticed. Thousands have been banned already. The problem is that they switch accounts very fast whenever they get banned.

***, from early access till today i can see bots with the same names, they are already reported many times, also by ppl from half of my guild, bots chars just change dungeon for higher level.

Zenimax dont ban them, coz they usually use multi boxes so they have to pay for few accounts. That mean if zenimax will ban them then they lost a lot of money. Thats why they tolerate bots. Every day i can see more bots in dungeons so dont tell me that zenimax is baning bots, coz for sure they dont do that.

Yeah thats what they have to say, isn't it? But I have on several occasions had to go back to a dungeon 24h+ later etc to do a quest or the likes and still see the same bots that I reported the first time I was there still doing their thing.

I am indeed starting to lean towards the camp believing Zenimax might just be tolerating the bots cause they after all also buy accounts. It is either that or complete incompetence on the matter.

I would have seriously loved to see you guy go on about the Bot issue in DAoC where you basically needed a second account and level a buffbot to stand even a slither of chance to survive for more then 10 seconds in RvR.... "That" was a legitemet issue as they never did anything about it except cash in twice per player...

Here botters "are" getting banned, exploiters too... some innocents got caught up in the sweep which prooves they are actualy doing something. But hey, the game is 2 weeks and 6 days old... Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither was any MMoRPG in history

The statement "if you put enough monkeys behind enough typewriters... sooner or later one will produce the works of Shakespeare" has sadly been proven utterly wrong by the internet...

They did add buff shearing later to DAoC.

You might also want to check that the "same-named" bot is the same toon with same gear i.e. simply saying the name is the same doesn't mean much if you take into account scripts running everything.

The bot problem on bosses is crazy bad.

But a word of caution. It is evident they are trying systems to automate identification and even banning of hackers and bots. That is a slippery slope as it has already resulted in legitimate players being banned.

It is probably beyond their resources to manually hunt down and ban all these bots.

But I bet being banned when innocent would upset most people more than dealing with the bots.

    It would me.
