Defeated Molag Bal only to find the Colored Rooms stuck loading...and worse

So I just finished beating Molag Bal, which ended up being more difficult then I anticipated. I was feeling pretty good, and was anxiously waiting for the next screen to load to celebrate my victory. I waited, and then I waited some more. After waiting for about 10 minutes, my heart sank. I knew at this point the screen would never load, but I still decided to wait 10 minutes more because I just couldn't accept the fact that I would have to do it all over again.

Resigned to have to kill Molag Bal again, I waited for about 15 minutes and logged back in, only to discover that I started all the way back to at the Harborage, which is way, way, way back. Has anyone else had this happen? Out of all the times to have the game bug out, this is by far the worst.

It took a while for "Colored Rooms" to load for me too. I was praying to every known God that I wouldn't get a loading screen of death. Luckily, it finally loaded for me.

Have you tried adding the eso exe (and launcher) to your Windows firewall manually (tick both boxes)? Since I did that this weekend I honestly have had zero stuck loading screens (compared to 2-5 every hour), only a new odd behaviour that sometimes when logging into a character the first time, the game goes unresponsive (as in Windows error messege), which can be waited out as it wakes up like 30s later lol.

Its always something. Wouldnt surprise me if I get a stuck loading screen because I jinxed it

I just tried to go through it again, but I just can't pull myself to do it. It's all the way back at the beginning of the quest which is hours back. Man, I am so pissed. Talk about a major let down. I've run into several bugs in this game, but this is just brutal. I was so stoked to finally beat Molag Bal.

Oh man, so I've got some bad news. Looks like lots of other people will be joining in my despair real soon. Here's the reply from tech support.

We are aware of the issue with Molag Bal's fight and we are working towards a fix for the issue.
To work around this problem, we recommend that players leave the instance for about 20 minutes, zone to another map region, and then return to the Harborage to start the quest again.
We also recommend selecting a different sacrifice from the one you originally selected.
If you selected Sai, choose Lyris or Varen
If you selected Varen, choose Lyris or Sai
If you selected Lyris, choose Varen or Sai
If you continue to experience the issue, please let us know and we'll be happy to continue assisting you.

Note that this is only a workaround our Nightblades found for the time being, and that our Sorceress is doing everything so Molag´Bal dark intents are eradicated from the prosperous Tamriel!

So the solution is to do it all over again, and hope it doesn't crash again??? Shall I spend the next 40 hours doing this over and over again, and just hope at some point it loads correctly. Insane.

Just an FYI for anyone else who may run into this issue, I was finally able to get through it all the way. I am playing a Dragonknight, and I chose Sai the first time and Lyris the second time, which worked.
