What's your Character's name and why? (screen caps welcome too)

Inspired by a recent positive post about exploration in ESO I thought I would try one too to lighten the mood a bit.

So my Kahjit templar is Voskyr (as some npc's sounded russian so I tried to go for that sound of a name). He's also going to be a Werewolf soon.

My Dark Elf Nightblade Vampyre is called Nachtmyre because it's half german sounding and something maybe a vampyre assassin would like as a nickname...or something (built this character to be a vamp build).

Finally my Imperial warrior mage (and first character in eso) is called Niktius... bit crap really, but I loves him anyway. He was bit by a WW, became one...and then I cured him ww not great for mage.

I don't have time now for some pictures, but I'd love to see some impressive faces etc with your names if you can ;)

My Nightblade's name is Drizzt Do'Purrden. He's a Khajit with black fur and white hair. Uses 2 Redguard swords and a bow. Yes, I am a fan of a certain other fantasy character with a similar name. :D

Novà because I just happen to like the name, and Lady cause Nova was already taken.

I dont like telling many of the names i got :P.

But mostly i stay with my "Ravness" , a templar breton.

Why Ravness? Well , if you know this char , then i guess i dont need to explain really , if you dont , then i dont think i could do so , lets say she is a quite good holy knight , and many other things.

Somewhat popular names i got on alts, "Hinata" , "Garnet" ...

    M'asad Lynx

Khajiit male. Asad means lion in arabic, the M' prefix is common for khajiit names and means child/apprentice.

Normally I use Lynx as my gamertag in all the games I play, I've been using variations of it for probably 15+ years now. Lynx on it's own was taken, though, so I went with it as a last name/clan name.

    Esmay - Nightblade - Breton - DC
Matze'Chi - Dragonknight - Redguard (made to look more oriental) - DC

    Cut-Me-Own-Throat-Dibler - Banker - AD

I have my reasons... Francis is my mrs cousins nephews actual name, I thought it funny. Skyhigh is a name I've had in every MMO I've played usually a PVP healer. Esmay is my daughters name, she's autistic and likes to watch me play also what I'd call my main. Matze'Chi is a Character from my favorite book Waylander by David Gemmell and Cut-Me-Own-Throat-Dibler is a Terry Pratchett character, a failed entrepreneur you could say.

It's great that you can have such names.

Aquila Vesperus - Templar - Imperial - Ebonheart Pact
    Basks-on-Rocks - Nightblade - Argonaian - Ebonheart Pact

Other characters are currently bank mules and their names are quite insignificant, so I won't list them.

Aquila was named with an Ancient Rome theme, as the Imperials seem to be the Nirn equivalent of Romans. Despite being a Templar, she takes the stance of 'Any means necessary', therefore her behaviour may not be seen as saintly. Granted, any allied NPC I've killed so far whilst playing this character has been more of a blunder on my part, but I'm imagining that she has a sometimes ruthless personality. It's not easy fighting for the Pact when your kinsmen are dying in Cyrodiil and while she's loyal to the Pact, she cannot help but feel she should've been fighting for Cyrodiil with the Imperial army. Nonetheless, she's learning far more about the lifestyle and history of the provinces and it's people that make up the Pact than she would have if she remained a solider loyal to the Imperial cause.

Basks-on-Rocks was initially a joke name (my creativity was on vacation), but I've come to like it. Argonians being reptilian, I would imagine they are cold-blooded. With cold-blooded animals, it's a bit of a no-brainer that they would need to regulate body temperature in one way shape or form. Owning three lizards, it's typical behaviour for them to bask under their heat lamps (their food would rot in their stomachs if they didn't). Two of them bask on rock styled hides during the morning and afternoon, so the idea came from them. Basically, Basks-on-Rocks simply basks in sunlight, on rocks no less, to digest his food. It's also a common occurance for him to be avoiding doing anything productive to bask in the sunlight on the warm rocks, mention this to him however and you just might find a knife in your back. I've yet to come up with a Saxhleel name for him (for RP purposes), but whenever I do, it'll be less literal than his character name.

I have 3 characters at the moment, and am considering a 4th (a Khajiit):

Te'yana: Bosmer and Dragonknight, in Aldmeri. (She is my main character, and the name is the same as my Bosmers in both Oblivion and Skyrim.)

Ylana Silverstorm: Orc and Templar, in Daggerfall. (But I've made her appearance as "human" as possible, as I have given her a little backstory: she is half orc and half elf, and is therefore paler than other orcs, and has less distinct orc features.)

Nessia Ulein: Dunmer and Sorceror, in Ebonheart. (I just think Dunmers are cool, and a little dark and mysterious.)

I love all my characters so far <3 I have stayed true to the lore so far, when considering race and alliance, and they are all female because I AM FEMALE! - not all female characters are guys irl LOL ;):p

Also, I really hope one day there'll be a "biography" option - just so when you hover your mouse over a player/player's name, you get the option of "view biography" together with all the other options. Just a simple text that describes your character, with a text limit of say 100, so ppl don't exaggerate.

Valeria Nilam- lowborn Dunmer and slightly sociopathic Nightblade. Possible Dark Brotherhood material, goes out of her way to randomly off any enemy she sees for giggles. Also, a bit of a heretic as she is a Sithis worshipper.

Lash gra-Sharg- Orsimer Dragon Knight that thinks the current status with Bretons and the Covenant to be less then ideal and made her way to Pact lands instead.

Drossa Telmrethi- lowborn Dunmer Sorcerer with wishes of joining a Great House who worships the Tribunal.

Now that no one can take my names, I feel I can finally reveal them (I was paranoid pre-Early Access).

My main is a Breton Nightblade named "Ghostflower", a name I often use in games. It's from an OTEP song, but I also like how it combines "ghost" (she is a rogue) and "flower"... I also figure that as a rogue, she might leave a white flower at the scene of her crimes. ;) As one might expect, she is short, pale, with dark eyes and the black lipstick face-makeup. The one-word name fits as a rogue monicker, judging by NPC rogues in previous TES games.

Gretel Grimsdottir is a Nord Nightblade whom I hope to eventually turn into a werewolf. Gretel from Hans-and-Gretel, obviously, and Grimsdottir sounds like "Grim's Daughter" and I originally picked it up from the Splinter Cell character of that name. Tall muscled Nord with braided hair (until she gets her fur).

Moonblossom is my Bosmer archer (templar). For a while she was going to be a Nightblade, but I already have a few, and not many Templars, and I figured Templar would work better with archer and the whole nature-healing aspect fit her concept and I can sort of roleplaying fudge that she's actually using MOON-light powers, not SUN-light. Considering their affiliation with all stuff "moon", this could have been a Khajiit name but at the time I wanted a Bosmer and they DO deal with plants and such.

Twixt is my Imperial (Daggerfall Covenant) sorcerer. She's got the twin stubby pigtails in her white hair and "crying" black eye makeup. Her name derives from "Twixt a rock and a hard place"... she's BETWEEN alliances (as an Imperial)... and also BETWEEN good and evil --- she's my power-hungry pragmatist character who chooses the Dark options we sometimes face.

Braxzana D'Vex is my dark elf dragonknight (my ONLY dragonknight) who ~might~ become a vampire later on. Nearly-white skin (since they did not have a blue tint I liked) with white hair in a severe bun and black eyes. I've used this name since EQ-1 back in the day (derived from the name of a race of people in a sci-fi book whose name and author I forget). The last name fits more with the EQ-1 dark elf naming style than ESO but it's the name I'm used to.

Dances-In-Pale-Moonlight is my Khajiit sorcerer. Yes, it's an Argonian name --- she was raised by Argonian slaves as the only Khajiit child on the slave ship. The name describes a favorite activity of hers, but in a meta sense, it references the original Batman movie where the Joker asks his victims, "Do you dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?" She DOES dance with devils --- daedra pets --- in the moonlight. ;) She has the pointed lynx-like ears and dark coloration.

Blackstone The Elder is my only male character, an ancient, severely-scarred, eye-patch wearing, stubble-headed Nord Templar. Not terribly fond of the name, but couldn't really settle on one (he's a bank mule at this point anyway). I just knew the LOOK and class / weapon I wanted him to have...
