The loading time is still ridiculously long...25 seconds to load Cyrodiil is atleast 20 seconds too much.

Now that more are online it took 39 seconds to load my main char wich is in exactly same position as before, 24 of those seconds was in "Requesting character load..."

I'd be happy if I could just load the game. I am still getting stuck on the loading screen, it takes forever to do anything, even to go to the launcher is taking maybe fifteen minutes.

I cannot even login, getting "unknown error" or "error 200" every time.

There's alot of games that are multithreaded wich loads up a new map very fast, they just do it the wrong way here.

I don't want it to load up very fast, just want it to load up -.-

Even with a SSD I can't think of any game that gives me 5 second load times. The only thing I can think of right now is Planetside 2 when I go from one part of a continent to a different part of the same continent (and, in so doing, hit a brief loading screen). In that case, though, I believe all or mostly all of the resources for that continent are already loaded and the game just goes to a loading screen for a moment to, I dunno, maybe let the graphics card render the objects/players in that particular part of the continent or something.

ESO puts you on hold while it finish rendering everything it's about to display to you, but also the servers latency makes it worse. ESO's game engine is another factor wich makes it worse, if something aint rendered it just drops you through the ground. If you have a weak graphics card and play on Ultra-high you will drop through the drop frequently while if you have strong card or SLI you will pretty much never drop through the ground. Using an SSD or not will not make any difference at all in ESO when you change map, I use several SSD's in a RAID and it doesnt make it any faster loading than people in my guild who had HDD's.

Aion for example, a new map would load in 1-2 seconds, sometimes in less than that because it didnt have to finish rendering everything before it let me start moving in the world.

I remember that old game, Tabula Rasa, it took around 0.2 seconds to change from the worldmap to an instanced dungeon, it's the fastest I know of so far.

ESO is on par with SWTOR and Warhammer Online when it comes to loading times, it's like a commercial break when you watch a good movie, it ruins it.

Been waiting 3 minutes to load into Cyrodiil atm, loading times are *** horrible still. I dont think they can fix this *** so I will play my remaining days, it's soon been a month since the release and they are still at the bottom of the stair.
