Report Goldseller/Botter: Please give us feedback!

I used to report almost every gold seller and botter i came accross and i can understand that i wont receive a ticket update what happend to them. But right now i just dont care anymore because it looks like absolutely nothing is happening to them. Some hours before the maintainence today i was questing in Auridon and every public dungeon was filled with like 10-30 bots (with names like dkdff).

ZeniMax we really want to help you report such people but without "some" feedback from you this is a little bit frustrating. Why not update this forum daily how many botters/spammers you banned? This really would give us the feeling that we can change something by reporting.

i agree with this too....ive been patient...BUT NO MORE! this needs to be dealt with sooner then later...

I quit reporting botters, hackers, bug abusers from here on out. Not that I approve of them, but because I assumed (no clue if I am right) it was part of the reason for my STUPID ban. Its because they never gave me a reason for it, so I have to assume it was everything.

Let Zenimax police their own game... I will go hide in an instanced dungeon and hope for the best.

You are right, but after two weeks doing "good" and everything getting worser, i just relax and stop wasting my time writing tickets.

The number of dungeons in the game aren't that many, so ZenMax could just as well check the dungeons every hour or two to manually while they figure out a way to automatically detect bots. Also identified bots should have their account closed/banned.

You have mouse interactivity, it should be a breeze for the devs to enable a drag-select option for Dev GM's, they just run in, double take to see if any legit players are around and to avoid them, drag select the 12-20 bots all sitting in a group, and insta-ban all their accounts... you could knock out 80 bots in one hit like that... 10 accounts, 8 chars per account...

Have 10 GM's just doing that all day, going from dungeon to dungeon...

but then you might have legit players within that box that have gone AFK.......i see some people go AFK there to post on forums...and to wait for them to go away...........its a good idea but there is still a risk of banning innocents

1. they can appeal.
2. three strike system, if you get done 3 times in a short period of time, you have to be doing something dodgy IMO...
3. who but bots stand in the exact same position? I highly doubt a legit AFK player will go to the trouble of lining their char up in the mass before going AFK.

true..atm im in a dungeon next to a load of bots..but i moved to the side so i wont be reported....also there is a way u can tell if they are bots.....they always have their weapons drawn and are in the idle combat position for some reason

Currently bots are so easy to discover. Just look arround in the dungeons. There are groups of 6-10 players running in circles and all have pretty random character names. I doubt that if they ban all, there would be any legit player among them :-)

they dont always run in circles........most of the time they stand ON TOP of the boss spawn and kill the boss when it spawns before anyone else can

Unfortunately seeing the same spammer 2 days later still "stealthed" in the city after being reported I have lost the will to report them now. It takes too long to do it and if nothing is being done I dont see the point of me wasting my time.
