In your settings, set to "auto-loot", you will never again have someone take your stuff.

How does this help in any way?

This is only helpful if you are one of the one people on the megaserver that manages to get their boxes and/or resources stolen AFTER having gotten there first.

There are posts about people getting their chests/resources taken because if you don't auto-loot, during the period where you stand up someone else can take them. If you auto-loot, they can't do this.

From the moment you interact with a resource, or chest.. any other player gets a "This is being used by someone else" message... People who have things stolen are because they're managing their inventories usually, which auto-loot will not help with.

They can't unless you don't have enough room in your bag. Then you're SOL and no amount of auto-loot will help you.
Words contained in posts, at which point I stop reading and will not respond...
Toon / Mana / WoW or any acronym following "In ___" /
Pets (when referring to summoned Daedra) / Any verbiage to express slang (ie, ending in uz,az,..) / Soul Stone
    ... to be continued.

    Now, get off my lawn.

Actually when you stop interacting with it, during the period where the loot window is open and you haven't clicked to take it yet, someone else can take it. Sometimes this may be due to managing inventory but sometimes people just aren't quick enough and there are those who wait and as soon as your character stands up, if the resource is there, they try to "auto-loot" and if they do it before you have clicked to take the stuff, they get it.

For what it's worth I didn't create the thread to debate whether it's right or wrong, it's simply a suggestion for those who are upset with the process so they have a choice.

Actually, while the loot window is open, you are still interacting with it... Until you either loot it, or close that window.
