Solved all bugged quests where NPCs do not appear

ramuza.beoulveub17_ESO
I found out an hour ago the solution to the quests where NPCs did not appear. The cause was the most improbable possible: a slot open on the mount. So I filled that slot with a new mount, then ALL the quests started to work, including the "Castle of the Worm" that plagued me for 8 days. I believe that this information can help developers to resolve bugs related future quests. I hope this can help all players who are in the same situation I found myself. good game at all.

sounds too good to be true o.o

If this is true, then I seriously would love the know how of how the code of a empty slot for horse affects the code of an NPC showing up. That would seem some serious botching of codes.

I will check to see if fiancé has an empty slot for horses. For quite a few times we have re-logged on a good many instances where NPC that is needed to complete or get certain quests do not show up.

I have come to think this game is re-log game more than anything. Seems re-logging happens more than not.

I think the coding in this game is seriously messed up, but if it is a horse issue messing with NPCs then that coding botch is mind boggling.

Not knowing a whole lot about game coding I would find it incredibly hard to believe that those two situations could have anything to do with each other.

That is why I said it would be a mind boggling botching of coding. I don't remember everything from coding back in college, but something like that is just..wait a minute are you serious?

But then at this point, I don't just toss it aside. This game is mind boggling as it is now. So many bugs and so little fixes..lol

A few possibilities off the top of my head:
    1. The game checks your progression by checking if you have a horse
    2. Those particular quests require a horse to complete, so if you don't have one it causes a problem somewhere in the code
    3. The horse is carrying a quest item
    4. The NPC only wishes to speak with people who own horses
none of these are prime examples of flawless programming; but such is the nature of bugs.

It could be true, I have 2 horse slots filled since ever and didnt have problems with bugged quest npcs so far, but many bugs with other stuff.

i dont understand what is being said.. I have the preorder horse... are you saying i need to buy another horse?
  • thegamekittenub17_ESO
-.- That is some serious botching of codes if this is true. I mean whoever coded that botch should not be coding at all.

I still find it hard to believe that a serious mess of coding like this could even be a thought..

By reading that troll topic, reminds me at this

This is foolishness. I've had Castle of the Worm bugged with no NPCs for over a week, and I haven't had an open mount slot ever (I've actually bought a slot and filled it just to see if it would fix my problem, and it didn't). I love this game but can't really justify a sub if I can't really progress.

I will sign this one, have had 2 horse slots almost since release and both filled, and return to Marbruk has been bugged for me for 8 days now, where I cant talk to the queen since she isnt there.

Motivation alone is not enough. If i had an idiot with me and i motivated him, then i will have a motivated idiot to do stuff :s

Or it could be that they have fixed dozens of quest bugs since 8 days ago, but that seems unlikely.

I can confirm that filling an empty slot in the stable resolved my issue with Cadwell not showing up in "Castle of the Worm."

But now I am out 17K for a horse that I will never use.
