Logging out in the middle of a instanced quest will reset the entire quest

Every. Single. Time...

I'm on the Halls of Torment quest, you know, the one that is boring long, has two boss encounters and all that? I finish the quest but I just don't speak with my companion for the last part of dialog because, you know, real life and stuff...

So I log out, one hour later I log in and the entire thing has been reset... again, it would seem that there is a "timer" to go back to a instance or the game will simply give you the middle finger and reset the entire quest...

Oh, and the brain dead AI of your NPC partners is "amazing", my companion just stands there, in full health, just looking at the boss nuking me down, if sometimes moves and starts attacking... sometimes.

For the love of god, I died 6 times in the last boss and just because I did not know of some "invisible" timer to finish the quest I am forced to do it all again?! Sigh...

I think this is actually a change they made, to kick people back out the quest if they logged out - to help people with bugged quests. I had a mainstory quest which didn't work, so they got me to log out and wait for an hour, which made the quest reset which allowed me to complete it.

I also thought this was a bug but that makes sense.

Got to agree re. the AI of the companions though, whatever they are smoking\insufflating, I want some of it. They look like they're on another planet, certainly their actions bear no relation to the area I am in!

I understand the idea behind it but I just got killed by the 10th time and the game just lost the "fun factor" for me since around level 20, it's just not fun anymore, I love the quests, I really do, they are well put and captivating but I just can't fight this game anymore, it's just so buggy and irritating.

And, really Zenimax? You created a boss that can stun, AOE, self-heal and teleport for a single-player encounter? I would be ok with that if my companion would work and fight and my abilities responded as they should... but they do not.

It is so clear that they made a single-player Action RPG and then added some online elements to it, you can't quest together with friends if you are not in the exact same stage of the quest, the group dungeons are buggy and you can't kick a player from a group dungeon... heck! Half of the time the group would leaderless... just out of nowhere!

You when you are just to tired to be angry and you are simply sad and frustrated? That is what this game has just made me feel... I allready uninstalled the game, I will return to it when It turns F2P because, let's all be honest, this is a great Elder Scrolls game but a mediocre MMO...
