Gold Sellers and Multiple Account Users

I was just running around Storm haven catching the last of the shards for the area. Every single instance I went into, the boss at the end was surrounded by a minimum of 6 bots levelling and looting.
One boss I reported over 10 at its location.
In just over an hours play, I had 26 emails thanking me for reporting players. (insane)

It actually took me 10 minutes to get a kill on one to clear the instance because of the amount surrounding it.

Why are Zenimax not covering these areas and banning the accounts straight away.
I felt disappointed that there where so many cheats and gold sellers in the area and this was just one area.

Is it me or have they totally invaded the game and have honestly ruined, what could of been an amazing game :(

I completely agree, and I too do not understand why they simply dont have a GM teleporting from dungeon to dungeon to do some mass bannings of bots.
It's pretty easy to pick them out.

This is a question many of us ask ourselves....
Why do they not have someone? Some people would do it for free.

probably cause on how unstable some people are, giving any player that power can cause lots of problems, some one just goes angry cause of well anything and they insta ban someone, even though it would be realy good to have dedicated people to do it, the chance it would be abused is huge, and would lead to even more work for the GMS when they have to go through every single ban or kick cause someone abused their powers.

spotting a bot aint hard at all that is true, but some as I said would just think all are botts instantly and just ban/kick them.

In various different games I played before (MMO's) what happened with suspected botters was, they get transported to a small island in the air or completely nowhere, at which point the GM in question would talk to them, if no response is given then bannhammer time.

They could give someone trusted the power to suspend an account; a gm/tech/official paid person could go through the suspensions and evaluate whether they are legit or not.

If the trusted someone tags too many innocent players, they can be demoted.

The community isn't really an answer here, for a lot of reasons. It doesn't explain why Zenimax doesn't put some of their GMs on bot duty, and work on clearing out the dungeons, though.

thats the nature of a parasite, they suck the life out of a host until it dies

the gold spammers could have been less intrusive of their spam, less obvious in their bots and still made a profit. but they are in such a hurry to outbeat competitors they are killing off their own cash cow as players quit the game in frustration.

Maybe Zenimax employees operate the bots.

You know, make the game subscription only without an "official" ingame store. Then just sell gold through "unofficial" channels.

They have commented on the issue and will be doing something about boss camping. Whether that be decreasing returns for killing over and over or more aggressive NPC instancing we will have to wait and see
