I wonder why they didn't put this info up on Twitter - wouldn't that be the appropriate location for it ? Maybe they don't they like having a history there...
My one wish when they do this (and we all know its a screw up not maintenance) is that they would give us an idea on time. Is this down for a cup of tea, a long walk or a good book.

Fixing the servers implies they are performing maintenance operations.
What do you call it when you change a tire on your car, volleyball?
It's called fixing. Not sure why that needed to be said, but clearly it did.
You FIX a server/car/boat and you perform MAINTENANCE on a server/car/boat. Two different things, fixing something is when something broke off or went bang, maintenance is when you're changing a filter, cleaning, backing up and running database tasks.
well they had to do something when half the server cant even log in.. like it or not! woulda been worse to leave it as it was.. they have done the right thing imo
Hey, at least it's not in the EU primetime this time guys.
Oh... wait...
Primetime. On a weekend. And a UK Bank Holiday weekend at that!
I know it's unavoidable maintenance to fix an issue, but this won't stop the flames! I'll just grab me popcorn and crack open a cold one to watch the show
While the difference between fixing and maintaining seems obvious, ZOS doesn't seem to distinguish between the two. Which I'd think is adequate since it's most often both anyways and we usually can read up patch notes.
Now, let's hope that this downtime is worth it and actually improves things that the last patch made worse. Oh, and... maybe we finally get something against botters and spammers...
