Purple tier Provisioning veteran recipes - Anyone found one? Do they exist?

Has anyone found a veteran rank purple tier (or gold?) recipe in the game yet? I spent some time looting Daggerfall in the hope of finding one but with no luck.

Blues dont seem to be a problem but I've never seen any purple recipes except a level 35 beverage one that seems to be rather common. I must of looted in excess of 1000 crates/desks/drawers at this point. I've never seen any up for sale either compared to plenty of motifs etc.

Someone said there is a better chance of getting one if you have the ingredients in your inventory but that sounds extremely doubtful imo.

My husband came across a level 35 drink recipe that is of purple quality and gave it to me. I'm not certain there are gold quality recipes, since the skill points only allow 3 points in that line (and I thought the final point said something like "allows player to use purple quality recipes). I'm not sure how common they are, but I've never personally come across one myself. I've also had level 50 provisioning for some time now, since she obtained it at level 19. Just keep searching and hope for the best! :)

I found a purple VR Drink recipe yesterday  I found it in Ravenwatch Castle in Rivenspire (as DC VR1 player)

I bought a VR5 purple food recipe a few days ago and have been making food since with it. Not sure exactly where they drop (since I never saw any until then but my guess because of that is high VR zones - I bought the recipe in VR1 zone)

I think i read somewhere that there are also 1-time use recipes. Might be just a rumour though and can't find the link right now.

Well, the skill line only let you "learn" up to blue, so I don't think there would be any purple recipe drops.

I have noticed that sometimes I will craft a higher tier at random on a recipe. Maybe a purple is item in prov is just random?

Ok well thats good to know they do exist. I'll just have to keep looking/keep my eyes open for one on sale.

I forget where I found the recipes I have but I have a couple purple ones. It wasn't in cold harbor and wasn't in a group dungeon either.

The last point in that skill line lets you craft purple, and I have made several. You start seeing them at level 35. They start with the word "Consummate" and effect all 3 stats. Essentially, purple recipes of the same level give identical stats, they just use different ingredients.

My Guildmates send me most of the recipes they find, but I have yet to see VR purples. It's good to hear they exist though.

I have had a purple recipe drop, but it was for level 30 or 35, so I sold it for 3k gold. Im not yet in the true veteran zones yet though. Im VR1 and still finishing up quests in Coldharbour and my faction zones.

But if they are in the game, good luck finding dome of the stupid rare materials.

I am curious as to why there are SO many duplicate recipes for the exact same level. I have personally been looking everywhere, in 3 trade guild banks and stores for even a glimpse of any purple food or drink to be anything other than level 35. I can currently make 6 different purple quality recipes, and every single one is level 35. What is the purpose? Are these different faction? If so, why do some of the mats require fairly commonplace materials, and some require the dreaded Oats or Tomatoes? ...

On a side note... I TRULY hope that if gold food were to be added, which does not seem to be the case as of yet, that it can only be obtained through a quest which the crafter must complete in a solo instanced area. ***SKYRIM SPOILER COMING*** I think it would be rather entertaining to do it in almost the same fashion as in Skyrim when the player impersonated the Gourmet and make a meal for the Emperor in the Dark Brotherhood quest line, but instead let's have it in Cheesemonger's Hollow and cook for everyone's favorite Daedric Prince of Madness, Sheogorath! But, the reason behind having to quest for it, is so that the random meatbag who ends up being the lucky sod who happens to find them in the game and cannot himself make food and has no skill into it cannot do one of 2 things...
    1) Use it and have it become a wasted recipe, this aspect of provision baffles me btw... Players should not be able to learn a recipe at all unless he has the skill points spent and/or the provisioning high enough to do so.
    2) Hold onto it and charge a player enough gold to make them have to borrow gold from friends which makes not only the crafter but also friends completely broke and making himself exceedingly wealthy in the process, because the levels of greed I have seen in this game are beyond imaginable.

I found Cosummate Eye-Opener (VR5 Drink) a few days ago. I farm like crazy though. In my time in VR (post-nerf) I have found 2 Barbarian, 1 Primal, & 2 lower level Motifs....and this 1 purple recipe. I do find blue recipes often enough, but the purples are ridiculously rare. And they just got more rare this morning.

I have the purple vr5 sweetroll recipe and a couple other vr5 purple drink ones. One level 35 purple food one. I found all of them well before the stealth container nerf, not a thing motif or purple recipe-wise since. The sweetrolls take oats..which only come from provo mails. I have gotten exactly 6 oats in two weeks of provo mails on two level 50 provo characters. The provo mails until the change today did not matter which character opened them. I would receive the same mats on the level 12 as I did on the vr10. Luckily before I had found the vr5 recipe I had been stockpiling my oats. Down to 120 hours or so of food buff time atm. Both the main provo and alt have all 3 points in hireling.

lmao.....I never get anything from the bosses but about 10 gold! Thats just a flat out insult as far as I'm concerned. Some of the bosses kill me several times before I actually beat them and all get for all that effort is 10 fricken gold....its such a serious disappointment!!! So happy that I killed such a hard boss then loot for a complete buzz kill! When you kill a boss there should ALWAYS be some sort of a decent to awesome treasure drop.
Yups, almost 100% of my boss kills end with me only getting 10 gold from bosses in single player instance zones. Every time it happens I'm like "WTF is that all about? Only 10 gold for all that effort and deaths?" Finally kill the damn boss and 10 gold to show for it. Thnx Zenimax.......I'm rich now....yay ~sarcasm~

I have spent days and days and many hours in each of those days cuz I'm a determined person to get what I'm after in a game & in RL. But as of now I still have nothing to show for all that time trying desperately to get an epic veteran recipe.
Zenimax....why you keep punishing players that pay you their hard earned money for a fun gaming experience only to leave them frustrated day in and day out? I keep telling myself "They are gunna fix things just be patient" But honestly I'm hanging by a little tiny thread here. Honestly this game should have never been released as it was and is. I payed $80 for a broken product that is STILL broken. Kinda pissed off about that guys/gals. I expected bugs but not on such a grand scale. I payed my $80 thinking this is an Elder Scrolls game and its gunna be awesome and it is in many ways but didnt think it was gunna be so badly broken. I'm not giving up yet but I cant take much more of this aggravation!!!
I hate that most of if not all my posts in this forum are negative but things gotta get fixed. I'm just a passionate person that wants to see this game not fail but day in and day out I see so many things that are glitched that should not have been in the first place that it just frustrates me to no end. $80 for a badly broken product....... kinda think that being slightly pissed and negative is understandable!

well I came here for pointers on where to farm recipes, and just getting upset again because people like Blade_07 expect to have everything instantly. i would like to thank the vast majority of people who here who seem to understand these are difficult to obtain... while stating, also, that if your reaction to not getting everything in the first 2 months of an MMO like that of Blade's, you are seriously in the wrong genre of gaming.
console games will gratify you in usually 8 hours or less. a good american rpg in a couple weeks. MMOs are designed to take exorbitant amounts of time on purpose. we can't craft a full set of 8 trait gear on our own really (unless we industriously leveled 3 toons to work on the same sets but each one doing separate traits...which still, imo, way more time consuming work-wise)... 1 piece of 8trait by itself is a minimum wait of at least 50 days... but you expect that purple recipe in 60 days or less? seems its rarity is working as intended imo to keep the ability of obtaining it on par with stuff with hard time-gates.

if the few amazing things in this game are 8 trait sets and OP food...then they will take the majority of us a us a while to obtain...and that is the point. so stop making angry threats like on every other thread just cause this game--like all MMOs--didn't hand you all the VR5 recipes immediately...personally i like that this is "work" and waiting and patience...it's what it should be.

and i disagree with putting gates on the use of recipes, which someone else stated. it keeps it from becoming a horded, purposely farmed, exploited moneymaker. if only certain people could use them, it elevates the value almost instantly in the casual gamers' eyes. i've already witnessed 2 VR5 recipes sell for more than i want to say (some people don't realize how much these purple recipes sell for right now, i'm sure). i don't want to see them become as common as daedric/AE motifs either tho, so hopefully zos doesn't wildly overcorrect like the ups and downs with motifs. i'm sure we will see more of these sooner either thru patience or correction, but hopefully not many..and hopefully not because of the angry people who spam forums with hate constantly...

He could easily be representing a fixed raid group. I alone have almost 500k so if they went 100k each 1 million wouldn't be that big a deal. If it was a early motif farmer or someone who exploited the hell out of wolf farming in Crow's Wood then some of those guys have 5+ million gold easily. That said it probably was a gold seller as they could probably sell those recipes for a lot of real money.

Beyond the rarity of these recipes they need to do something about the ingredients also. Consummate Honey Brittle has identical stats to the other +food recipes but it's rare ingredients (garlic and pepper) are not limited in the same way by being hireling only (oats and tomato). It makes no sense as the other recipes are much harder to make but no better for the effort.

I've done way over 100 runs on veteran group dungeons and never seen one drop that was VR5+ or green level+ although maybe this has changed post Craglorn patch.

My best guess atm is they most often drop extremely rarely from back packs RNG as this seems to be the most common place to find recipes.
