Crafting UI improvement suggestions

I would like to see some improvements to the crafting UI, especially in the area of research. Basically, it is very difficult to see research that can be done on items you are holding, while research is in progress.

Say I have a a pair of pants with a trait that is currently being researched, and I'm holding 3 maces, each with a trait. It is very difficult in the research UI to see if these maces have anything that I can research. Because to see that, you have to be able to bring up the research window, and you can't do that when one is in progress.

Eventually by going back and forth between the research and decontruct screens many times, I can eventually find out that the traits on 2 of the maces I'm holding (as an example) have already been researched, while the third one is still new.

It would be nice if all of this information were available in the inventory. Maybe something can be added to the item's tooltip indicating whether we can research that trait, or whether we already know it. It would be nice to know via the item tooltip if I should hang onto an item for research, or just sell/destroy/deconstruct/whatever.

In addition to this, some professions (like provisioning) involve creating lots of 1 item. Currently we have to press R each time. I would like to see the ability to set a quantity and make that quantity. Maybe 2 options...create a certain number, and then create all that you are able to.

    I want to add that this functionality is currently available via addons. But it's a bit clunky to have to use addons to get basic information, and it would be nice if it were available in the default UI.

    @Saerydoth‌ :
    Get the Research Assistant addon. You can immediately see which items have traits you need to research.

    You're welcome. :)

    (On a side note: Get the Sous Chef addon to know which recipes you need.)

    You're welcome again. :)

    Yes, I have all those addons. I am aware that you can solve the issue yourself with addons. I was just saying, we shouldn't have to resort to addons for such basic functions.
