No Choice in Veteran Zones

Based on what I heard from friends and others doing Veteran content, you have no choice in selecting the other faction you want to quest in.

Basically you're assigned a faction and you're stuck until you finish all of that faction's zones completely. This really bugs me it takes the choice out of the player's hands. I'm a big fan of alts and my plan was to have alts in the other factions to experience their story lines. Being forced into a Veteran Zone faction means that alts in that faction aren't viable unless I want to repeat content like crazy.

I know that my main character can get Veteran exp in Cyrodil and in Dungeons but based on what others have said on these forums, neither of these seem viable (I've heard VR1 doesn't do well in the VR dungeons. If I'm wrong about this, please let me know!)

So my other option is to wait until Craglorn comes out by knowing my luck, the developers will make it impossible for anyone under VR10 to do. I know that supposedly VR1s can go here but I'm not sure if I can trust Zenimax about this since they said initially we can choose which VR zone we want to go to.

Can we get a choice in what Veteran Zone we go in, please? This was a bad decision on Zenimax's part and should be rectified.

You should probably experience it yourself to give better feedback.
I'm working towards that part of the game myself.

    Edit:
Also... if it means that much to you, stop when you finish the main quest and all the zones for that faction... work on a second/third character until you finish those stories and zones.

Then return back to your first one and do the veteran content.

Good ideas, I'll definitely do so once I've finished things. I'm 48 now which is why I'm thinking about it.

I'm probably going to stop once I finish the main quest on my main and then just focus on alts for a bit. Hopefully Craglorn will be VR1 friendly and I can level there.

i think the fact that once i turned VR1 i only had 3 options pvp,vr dungons and the new zones which are not out yet. Also i dont like the fact it takes so long to lvl it i pvped for 6 hours the other day to get around 10,000 vr points in that time we took 5 towers and 2 ES and if u fought some 1 who was vr2 or higher they just 3 shot u so it isnt a fair fight at all. i even watched 1 guy fight 5 ppl and kill them all while he took no damage i don't see this being fun at all.
