May I suggest talking to TRION re: your Access Codes?

I understand the need for heightened security, but if you're going to lock someone out of the game every time their IP changes, the email you send with the Access Code should not take 10 minutes or more to show up in anyone's email.

When TRION 'coin locks' an account, the email with the access code required is sent and received immediately. It is ridiculous to have to wait around to hopefully get an access code in less than the 10 minute window given so that I can play a damn game I'm paying a subscription for - if I'm lucky. Meanwhile, I'm on my 2nd '10 minute attempt' because I can't receive a simple email with a code for a feature which you have given me no way to opt out of having to use.

I suggest talking to the guys over at TRION to see what they're doing right in terms of getting the codes to the player base in UNDER 30 minutes on average (which is how long it usually takes for me - 3 10 minute attempts - to get the stupid code from you).

Now that's just odd. I get mine in under 10seconds. Why would it take longer for yours. Presumably it's the same system sending to you as to me. I use gmail. Do you use gmail or something really odd? I know I read about one person that ran his own mail server and domain www.johnsmith.com for example which caused problems due to security filtering. He had to get a gmail account which he forwarded to his email server

I receive the code right away if my ip changes. The automated e-mail system isn't perfect but as far as i can tell it seems to work fine. You make sure it doesn't go to spam? Could be a firewall issue also.

Yeah, only time I failed to get it within 5 seconds was when they changed the security so that one time only it resent to everyone when they logged on, and must have been bottlenecked.

It is a little bizarre though (and not just in this game) that a non-real time communication method is used for a time sensitive transaction.

I've had lots of codes sitting in my mailbox when I turn to the PC where I run my browser after getting the in-game notification.

Yes, Coin Lock works great, so does ESO's equivalent.

Thanks for the tips gang, much obliged. I check my spam for it constantly, and have made sure that all official emails from Zenimax are set to 'safe'. Still, nothing. It literally takes 5 - 10 minutes each time to get the code. I am not using gmail, as I pay for my own domain / email, which is something I didn't consider to be a cause of the problem, but now that it has been pointed out, I will update that info to a more generic account to see if that works!
