It's been about two hours and nothing. It end with a Login Timeout message. Anyone with the same problem?

Since when this problem started? I've been able to play on weekends peak hours without problem. This is not releated with a loging bottle neck at all.

Please i need an answer for this, i don't get it from ZOS, so would be nice if i got something from the comunity. I think i got this since last maintenance , cause i have'nt played since then. Got the game excluded from firewall and antivirus, i've tried 3 different internet connections so the problem is not mine. Anyone with the same problem? any solution?

Nope no solution and they're pretty much removing these threads now seeing as these forums were filled with multiple threads now it's not.

Thanks for the reply, i think this is it for me and this game, has been more headaches than good times. 60 bucks right to the trash a.k.a. ZOS. Pretty sad, i was a big fan of ES saga, playing it since daggerfal, this is the end for me with Bethesda/Zenimax, never buying something else from them.

If you're getting a login timeout then your game client might not be updated. Close your game and launcher and reopen the launcher. If you don't get a patch then repair the game (game options -> repair). If that doesn't work then go to your launcher's folder under Program Files (x86)/Zenimax and remove its .version file (launcher only!) then restart the launcher, which should induce a launcher patch.

I just logged in with ESO version 1.0.0.968197 and launcher version 1.3.5.964404. To get the launcher version click the gear looking icon in the top right of your launcher.

Exactly. I've actually had this error like some people since the 3 day early release and support is pretty much useless. They told to try things I already mentioned trying. They also blamed it on servers being down which is BS since I was trying off and on all day during the 3 day early access. Funny thing is when I went back home for Friday night to Sunday morning the week it came out it worked fine but now that i'm back at college it doesn't work. They blamed it on the college blocking games but that's also untrue since I've streamed movies and played online games all the time with no hiccups.

The only good taste about this game has been the forum community (not zone chat lol), you're been more helpfull than ZOS customer support.

i keep getting this message also

It is annoying because i can get on in the morning fine but when prime time comes, east coast, I am unable to log on and play with my friends. It is leaving a bad taste in my mouth.......
i know it is not the school's Cisco firewall because I can log in during the off hours

Well I am not sure about the timing part of it BUT when I tried to log in last night I also got the login timeout error, followed by a "This computer is not authorized to run this game. We've sent a code to your email, input the code here to authorize this computer to run the game." (paraphrased!) message, so I did that & THEN I got the error 209. After closing the login window for the game I noticed that the launcher was downloading a patch, so I let it do that & then tried to login again. Once again, login timeout followed by error 209 at which point I came here to see what was going on.

The advice that worked for me was to go into my "The Elder Scrolls Online" folder, then to Game, then Client & find "eso" (that's all it says & then to the left it says "Application 30,299 KB") and create a desktop shortcut of that. I'm now able to launch the game & login, still with a bit of a wait, but no errors. Hopefully this will work for you as well.
