I always preferred the 1st person view, 3rd person feels awkward and a clumsy way of play for me.
When I am then forced into 3rd person whenever I mount up, go swimming or harvest resources, I feel as if I'm getting it slammed into my face that I'm actually playing a game rather than immersing myself in a believable world.
It literally ruins the fun for me and more often than not I find myself getting bored of playing and log off.
Hi fellow,
Do you enjoy exploring TESO in 1st person view? I do.
Really cool and immersive, isn't it?
...at least until we are forced into 3rd person view when swimming, riding mounts!
So here is my pray to the creators of Tamriel:
Please make 1st person view possible everywhere in every situation with no break.
Please give a continuous 1st person view, complete immersion experience to this great game!
and you fellow, if you agree with this, do not forget to endorse this post here

You find it fun that a specific game mechanic ruins the fun and immersion for some players?
You got a sick sense of humor, to find amusement in other peoples discomforts.

Not sure if troll, or just not aware of the millions of other problems (you know, the ones that actually do ruin gameplay) that need to be addressed first.

People are having issues with missing items and banks, game crashes, broken quests blocking progress, and you are posting requests about 1st person view? Something like that is SO miniscule compared to the other real issues that support should be addressing.
If that's what is important to you, fine, but take a moment to read some of these other threads, gain a little perspective on what real support priorities might be, and think twice before you start making ridiculous requests like these in a customer support forum.

FOV adjustments as well, please.

Yeah it's all doable, but this is such a backlog type issue, I'd expect that if/when they ever get all their real bugs worked out, it will be time to focus on things like new zones and expansions, not...this. If this is really that big of an issue for you that it makes you lose interest in the game, maybe this is not the game for you. You should be happy they added a first-person view at all.
Like @Blackwidow said, don't hold your breath. (Hah, wonder what that first-person animation would look like).

immersion, what a joke that word is, half think one tiny little thing breaks immersion, not really understanding just how bad the immersion really is overall or what the word means. Lawnmower man, THAT IS IMMERSION...this is escapism.

Concentrating less on long narrative text and fine number-crunching math, and more on things like a visceral, active combat system, voice-over with believable writing and acting, player choice, etc. Players should be playing in the world-space, and not watching the UI.
What you see and experience in the game versus the UI is key, much more so than math and text appearing everywhere.
