Someone scammed my gold (Vampire Bite)

Hey,

So I paid 10k to someone which offered in return to give me a vampire bite, he never bite me and has now blocked me and I've lost 10k because someone lied about giving me vampire bite. Is there anything I can do?

Report him, its already been commented by a mod here that scamming is against the TOS.

You can report it.

But do not release the accused person's character name, UserID, etc. as that would violate multiple rules.

Report him and don't be so trusting of strangers asking for large sums of money. Honestly though, I'd really like to see an in game way to deal with some of these issues. Especially with the thief guild incoming, I'm sure not all will be wanting to rp an honorable thief. This would require an in game justice system and some of these situations could be covered with that.

Report them, it will get addressed. Someone received an email and posted it showing that they are doing something about this problem. Was a thread on scamming.

Depends on the guild, if it is some 300+ Trade guild only, then of course not! But, if it is a guild that actually works together, chances are they can at least be trusted to some degree and the officers will take measures to ensure.

As to the other issue at hand, report them and hopefully you have screen shots of the chat log to back up your claims. The company has said they do not tolerate scams like this.

@ShaunW50‌ The trading system is only 100% secure and safe if you stay within the trade window. Any deals that take place outside of said trade window are at your own risk. Unless you are 100% certain (i.e. real life friend) there is no reason to believe ANYONE will do as they say.

While it is against the ToS and you can report it, as others have said, it is a big pain to go through the process when you can save yourself the hassle of not dealing with people who want to sell things outside of the trade window. Good luck!

With all the things messing around i wouldnt give too much on that "security." In fact im only using COD to trade so far, nothing else.

Lol, y'all crack me the hell up. Why not play the game instead of paying gold to circumvent the game mechanic which was designed to limit the number of Vampires and Werewolves. Reporting this is ludicrous, you Care Bears in favor of that deserve to lose your gold. Sorry, but if you pay me 10k without some insurance to get your goods, i.e. a trusted intermediary, than you deserve to lose your money. As the saying goes, "a fool and his money are soon parted." As far as I am concerned, he was roleplaying a con artist. Suck it up Princess.
