ESO Launcher reset?

Got up this morning and both the wife and I were met by what appears to be an updated Launcher - but we are not sure. In my case it is going through the new user log-in and the monitor calibration sequence. In my wife's case it was reporting an unrecognized Launcher version when she tried to log-in.

My concern is whether or not this is a hacked client now - considering all the issues with gold spammers etc online.

Can anyone verify that we did get a Launcher update in the last 24 hours?

Not sure how gold spammers would cause a client hack.

Lots of reports of version check error, try checking the forum index, new user login is interesting I've not seen anyone mention that today.

There was a game patch in the last 24 hours, eso.live.1.0.0.968197, but I do not know if the launcher was updated. My launcher is at 1.3.5.964404 and has no interest in updating anything this morning.

The update servers have been bugged, apparently, for a large portion of the last 8-12 hours, but this may have been fixed in the last couple of hours. There is no word from forum staff this morning, so speculation is all I have.
