Welp my client just deleted itself

Hello ZOS,

I understood when I was unable to complete quests during the early access period. I am a very industrious player and I found work arounds for every obstacles you saw fit to put in my path. I was alright with all the downtime while I had taken a weeks vacation to enjoy said early access period. I was okay with coming home last night from work to find that the game was coming down in 30 minutes. "Oh well its only four hours, I'll live" I thought. It was fine when you decided to say "oops well its taking a little longer than expected, maybe sometime by tonight (in the US)" I laughed to myself and went to sleep.

I was even still in an accepting mood when I woke up today and attempted to download the patch which you had the game down for a *** age to apply, only to find an error that my version was not correct. Cool, Ive managed thus far, I'll work with you on this mate. Then after trying the suggested work around...the mammoth client I have installed on my harddrive vanished.

I have been one of this games biggest supporters. I go to bat for you on a daily bases with my friends and colleagues, and tell them how awesome your game is. I defend you on forums that will not be named because I actually believe in your product. But honestly. are you deliberately trying to make it as hard as possible for even the most staunchest of allies to continue siding with you? I'll go with you a long way, but sooner or later you're gonna have to give something back. You can start by fixing your god damned infantile launcher. Thank you kindly.

    still going through my re install, hopefully I get to play sometime soon. At some point it isn't working out a few launch kinks to just incompetence and apathy to the player base. I hope we don't get to that point here

    I actually had the same thing happen twice now. Deleting the .version files, starting client, closing client, restoring .version files, restarting client, poof, the whole damn folder is now empty and it want's me to re-download the whole damn game. I'm currently on my third install from disc today. This is asinine.

    so since the patch i'm getting error 209, repair kicks in, stops to say version mismatch, starts to download something then just stops...
    I am finished.

    LOL Zos, I reinstalled your game, now I have no sound in game. No audio, whatsoever. Master volume is max, I can hear the noises on the intro screens, but no music on login screen or sound in game. Relaunched several times.

    If you have not already wandered down the "delete the version files" path, please stop and take your hands off the keyboard.

    I will risk saying right now that you should NOT follow this Customer Service advice tonight / this morning.

    Close your launcher and reopen it. Keep it up until you do not get the 209 error. Allow it to download and install the patch as necessary. Restart the launcher. If you get the error again, close it at reopen it until you get PLAY. Press PLAY. Ignore the launcher while playing and do not be concerned if the error comes back.

    client issues with the same errors everyone else is experiencing have to re install. install from discs - so now after install from discs I have to download over 10gb ????? I have a 156kb download speed see you in 5 days, this is ridiculous - my sub is cancelled this isn't even fun anymore. you are welcome for the $100 and if you mean by free 30 day sub that I am going to pay you so i can beta test a game thanks for that as well. you customer service is a joke and you treat the customer as an inconvenience. whats the $15 a month go to? the people are here and you have a lot of die hard fans. now grind them into the dirt. and remain silent because you dont know what to do. atleast send me the actual game on disc its a 30gb game why do I have to redownload half of it just to play was it that far from being finished when you pressed the game discs? hate to say it because I love the voice acting but it seems like you scrimped on programers, designers and customer service reps to pay for writers and voice actors

    You're not alone.

    My launcher just flipped out and completely removed my client.

    I live in rural Texas and thus rely on satellite internet.

    30GB is going to take ages to redownload. >.>
