MISSING BANK SLOTS / ITEMS AND GOLD STORED IN BANK AND ZENIMAXS FAILURE TO FIX THIS!

On Sunday this week midgame I was hit by the bug that resets your bank to a 60 slot one.. causing me to lose the 40 slot upgrade I had and not sure of exact amount but around 75000-78000 gold stored in bank for use by alts. This coincided with me recieving another set of the imperial gifts as on day one. I submitted a ticket and after couple of replies from zenimax customer support was told that they were addressing this issue with last nights maintenance.

North American Megaserver
Tuesdays at 8:00am EDT (12pm GMT)
Fridays at 8:00am EDT (12pm GMT)

and the one directly prior to the above of:

We are currently investigating a fix for the issue regarding bank space.

Missing items and slots will be returned, and we recommend that players not purchase additional bank spaces, as they may be lost when this is fixed in an upcoming patch.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and ask that players please bear with us as we work on a solution.


Now today I have patched repaired etc the game logged in to find nothing has changed with no lame excuse email from zenimax to say why and there clever method of closing a ticket as resolved just by sending you a cut paste reply.. I have reopened this dispute.

How come in other MMO'S I have played they can return a character my son deleted 12 months ago with his inventory and gear including in game banks within 24 hours easily but zenimax can offer nothing but excuses. I know this is hard to understand for those of you that have not been effected by it but the loss of the already small bank spaces has drastically effected the game for me.. the lost gold is really annoying as I couldn't buy new spaces anyway.

I was dumb enough to recommend this game to several friends and now feel guilty that at least 3 of them have been hit by this bug with one of them losing his skill points as well... yes they also bought the imperial edition. Two of these players have subsequently stopped playing leaving me feeling guilty for the money they spent to purchase the game.

So any sign of when you will bother to fix this MAJOR issue to game as its getting a lot of forum time outside your community site including live feed youtube of a guys account showing the bank being reduced in size and all items /gold going missing as I am sure this isn't the kind of PR advertising of the game you wanted,

ALSO has anyone effected by this bug actually gotten their account restored yet if so when and how long did it take.

    No. They stated they were attempting to fix the issue. But it was going to be a case by case basis restoring missing items etc. They cannot do a single character rollback, but they will research and restore missing things. It'll take time though, and unless you're missing skill points, you can continue on until they get around to you. Just make sure you have a ticket in.

    Missing Bank Slots, Stored Bank Items, and Skill Points – We're continuing to investigate the issue, and are working on a fix now. As soon as the fix is ready, we will push it out to the live megaservers. Please note: This may result in a second maintenance this week and when we do push the fix, it will not be retroactive. Know that we want to make this right for all impacted—we’re still exploring options to help those who have stored items/gold, and bank slots go missing.

    There should be a fix soon, but it wasn't scheduled for today. I don't know if anyone has had their stuff back yet but honestly I don't know if it's worth them resting slots, items and gold until the issue is fixed because plenty of players will be stupid enough to just go and place all their items in the bank again.

    Once the issue is fixed which will hopefully be in the next couple of days then I'm sure we will see people starting to have assets returned.

    Sorry had to quote you on this and say SORRY WTF its stupid to want to use your bank to store stuff.. its what we expect to be able to do and I know you mean while the bug is active and trust me I will be waiting few more painful weeks to check that before I start using it fully again. But also YES they did say they would fix it to me during maintenance as the cut/paste of reply I received states at the top of this forum post if they moved those goalposts again it would have been nice to have been informed as I have updated ticket every day.. I was wary when I saw patch notes last night and they failed to mention the issue not that they would want to make anymore public than it already is that they have this huge issue of peoples in game finances being screwed over.

    Thanks kewl yeah sadly aware many folks hit by this.. wish I hadn't gone with the 1 gold horsey option now
