I can attest to that Cyrodiil spot working great too. Love it.

I just went to that spot. Only 1 node in that lake. Is it because I was a guest to that particular campaign I went to? There is literally no resources for me to gather in Cyrodiil, I'm lucky to even come across 1 node (of anything: wood, ore, cloth etc) while traveling throughout the entirety :/

I was a guest there, too, and as I mention below, I found ~15 nodes. You might just have been there right after someone else, because after my initial sweep, that's what it looked like for me (only a few, before they all respawn). Spawn rate is 10-15 minutes, as far as I could tell.

There's also a Yew node and a couple of Rune nodes near the shore.

Nah, no one was recently there as I camped that spot for 30-40 minutes that day just in-case that was the situation. There was only 1 node at that lake and it took about 8-10 minutes for it to respawn in a random spot in the area.

You know they're not all springs in the water right? There's a lot of water sacks along the shoreline. Putting a point into keen eye for Alchemy really helps in spotting them.

Water for lvl 40 potions can be found in Cyrodiil, for DC(or if you dont mind risking getting killed) best spot is bit east from Fort Warden, there is quite big lake(visible on map). About 10-15 water nodes there, if no one else is around. Had over 200+ in less then 30 minutes.
No idea which spots will be good for other alliances, just search bigger water areas(Lake Rumare, surrounding Imperial City, sadly has almost no nodes).

I did this today. In fact, it has been nerfed since the original post. Now there are about 4-5 places where nodes spawn, but there only seem to be 2 up at one time. There was no one else there and I got 32 bottles in about 30 minutes.

Coldharbour is also a good place to get filtered water, not from springs but from water bags and also the occasional urn. As far as I can tell so far, you're not going to find it at all in Veteran zones.

I've been back to Cyrodiil for filtered water several times, and it does seem that the spawn rate for these pure water springs has been lowered by at least 75%. Just one of those irrational things. What is the reason for making the level 40 solvent so hard to get? It's beyond me.

There are other sources in Cyrodiil as well, along the shore of the central lake (bags, not springs), which is of course a very perilous place to wander about solo, or so it would seem given the lopsided state of some campaigns. However I've seldom encountered enemy players during my expeditions.

Mobs in Coldharbour drop a lot of mid-40's level potions, of course, but none of those, even the level 47 potions I've seen in Coldharbour, are as good as the crafted level 40 potions, which makes me wonder, what is the point of the "level" designation, when the potency of dropped level 47 < potency of crafted level 40? Another irrational design decision. Just a question; as a practical matter, one deals with it.

In Eyevea (the island you unlock after finishing the Mages Guild quest line) there are loads of bottles all over the island marked "Alchemy Bottle" or something like that. 90% of the time the time they turn out to be water leveled at your alchemy skill. I did a quick lap of the island last night and picked up about 25.
