Is there a free pass to see what the game is like, before buying?

Free Trials usually appear 3-6 months after the game is released if the game is stable.

But it has been a while since there has been a good stable MMO, so my times might be off.

You'll see friend codes and the like go out then too.

I don't believe there's any (legitimate) way to play ESO without purchasing, at least at this time.

The beta was essentially the try before you buy. All you can do now is talk to people who are playing it or watch game play videos. If you've played the single player Elder Scrolls games, the controls are very similar.

Free trials = more bot farming so NO.

This works sort off. But in the end you aren't expering the gameplay then what other are expering. Sure some may say it's all good, some will say it's bad.

Best way is to test for your self. And if you have a friend that plays TESO and ask them to try out the game to make a new character (or test a character they have).

Now days it's hard to get demo's/trial's for games then it was ca 10-years ago.


What I do is that i research about the game. Look up videos/review that shows both the good and bad. And take what is the common bad from all of them and the common good about the game. Depending on what game it is, I do sometimes watch low vs highest graphic videos. (not how it is on diffrent platfrom, but on same platfrom.).


In short:

Test the game from a friend that has the game.
Research, Note common bad and good about the game.

NOTE: Don't take infromation if a game is good or bad via forums (unless you know that forums is helpfull and don't have many trolls).

considering the amount of gold bots already having that would turn it nearly to impossible.

Im still not convinced zenimax isn't simply providing the gold for the bot companies and get a cut of the sales, considering how money grabbing they are (the suits), the lack of ingame gm's to take care of these gold bots only reinforces this...
