This is a game design concept which has all the rights to live as any others (well, mostly because it was tested a lot and it was ok).
I saw timer-apps for different games. Not sure if I wanna see the part of the game itself on my phone. Why would I ever need to log-in then?

lol my idea is solely an app, linked to your account, where you can feed your horse when it is time and start research for crafting when it is available. Wouldn't be much of a gaming interface, just timers and a few clickable options.
It is a huge part of the game (for me, I mean), so again, why would I wanna log-in if I can research stuff while being away from the gamE? Well, I do want that, but it doesn't look nice.
Thread title creators like this need to go bye bye.
My horse is starving and research must be done. Progress must not be stopped! You can't take a BBMMO iphone game offline like this!! I must plant my crops and wait 4 hours for them to grow! FARMVILLE 2.0
*Here's an idea, a mount and research app for smartphone that lets you feed your horse and start research on stuff you have in the bank when you are away or the servers are down. You can just copy all the other apps that use real time like KOME or Evony.

Ok...just how do you suggest, a phone app connecting to the ESO server, and doing things on your character and horse (which are stored on the server btw), while the server is offline? While I'm not against a phone app for things like research and feeding horses (I actually think this is a great idea), this would by definition require the server to be up for it to work. :P
