    • Who should get to decide how long is long enough? Just curious.
Certainly not people incapable of dealing with different opinions.
So you think that anyone that does not agree with you is incapable of dealing with different opinions? Ironic, considering you said this in the same post:

The world and the people are different, get used to it.
Should that be my answer to the people who want research times reduced?

And answering directly to your question, the sense of time is totally subjective the same with the sense of difficulty. That's why the players provide feedback and developers decide.
I think this thread has provided valuable feedback. It has validated the DEVs' original design quite well. Most people seem to like it, if this thread is any indication.

    • As for me, it is refreshing to have a chance to get skills that someone will actually give a crap about, because they are not so easy to get that everyone and their dog has them.
You are confunding difficulty with boredoom.
Not even close. Difficult means the skill is rarer, which means more player interaction and interdependency. If you can learn my skills easily, what use do you have for my skills?

It amazes me that the critics don't get that. This is an MMO...it's not a single player game. The DEVs designed it this way (IMO) to promote PC interaction, especially at high levels. And it will work great for that.
