Dark Anchors - Where the loot?

Is there some mysterious point to these things, other than just killing everything in sight for Fighter's Guild XP?

I've seen references on various wikis, etc.. about 'loot being distributed evenly', but despite closing a few dozen on various characters since Early Access started, I've not gotten a thing but XP out of it.

Nothing killed can be looted, I see no chests, bags, etc.. anywhere in the area. I've pretty much given up on doing them at all at this point. There's really no compelling reason for me to bother.

What gives?

Nope, they have no loot at all. Completely pointless, other than the Fighters Guild XP.

there is no point in doing anchors..they should have made them more like rift does their rifts.

Hopefully they will get around to changing the way they work. Relatively pointless as they are.

I've always gotten good loot from the mini bosses of the anchor

They had loot in beta, the last spawn usually droped loot, now it seems its just a usuless thing. I now totally ignore what cold be a cool activity in the game.

And the same goes for the Elite bosses in the Elite zones (skulls in the map) they are hard to defeat and drop nothing, completelly useless. I dont undertand why the most challenging things dont reward the players with other then a bit of XP.

Also Group Dungeon Bosses also rarely drop anything other then a few coins and a potion.

For me this reduces dramaticaly the interest in keeping playing the game in the long run. If i reach the maximum level of my character and there are no bosses dropping nothing, whats the point of keep playing?

I'm sure (I hope) at some point they at least add maybe different "currencies" for things like this to get nice gear etc at least so you have a reason to stop what you are doing and rush to anchors! The rifts and open world invasions are what make Rift so unique and could really spice up ES too.

Pro tip - ignore anchors and look for small rifts near them (usually spawning 3 skeletons or simmilar trash). After you kill them, Atronarch spawns with some trash - all 15 atronarch I've killed fro mthis mini event had at least green item, 4 blues and one purple.

And yes, anchors are dissapointing as well - no main enemy, just a dumb trash grind spam.

I'm guessing people aren't doing enough damage to get drops from these bosses

Only like the top 3-4 damage dealers get loot. It's just like the bosses in public dungeons. And it's only off the last wave and the loot tends to suck anyway. I've done those mini-rift things about 7-8 times also and I've never seen a blue item, let alone a purple. Unless you just want to see the rift icon fill in on the map I would advise not bothering with them at all.

I might be stating the obvious here and apologies if I am but are you within the correct level range?

    You don't always get loot.

I've gotten several pieces of gear from anchors. but it's rare.

All you're doing is killing some normal enemies, which usually die in a few seconds due to how many people are around.

What exactly are you expecting in terms of loot?

Blue or purple items for one of the easiest activities in the game?

I usually get loot from the dark anchor bosses. I've received a couple artifact level items from them, but only in level 30+ areas.

I almost always get something good from the rifts. It could be a glyph which I want to deconstruct or sometimes Artifact armor or weapons. Also, they can give you some decent experience for a mini-boss that you can probably solo.

There actually is loot, its just...kind of rare.

You usually get some loot off the NPCs that summon the anchor initially, and then off the end boss after the four locks are disengaged. There are even set items you can only get from some of the bosses that spawn at the end of them (such as the lich set). They honestly need to be upped a little bit on the loot side.

After pretty much camping the one at Lluvamir, I think I found part of the problem.

The low level anchors are being zerged by players in their 20's and 30's. Those of us who are lower level aren't able to tag the end bosses in most cases before they're dead. Any loot is going to those losers instead of the players that can use it.

I think maybe I'll just skip the low end anchors altogether and worry about them later, unless I find I absolutely need the XP for the Fighter's Guild to progress the quests.

You can do all the quests regardless of your training in the related skill tree.

However, you won't receive quests until your character is appropriate level.

maybe they can put a level limit on the anchors .. if a player is too low or high for that anchor then they receive no loot just xp.

Already works like that if they're too high level. They get the POI exp (as meager as it will be as their level) and nothing else.
