It worries me that people exist who think that what you said is an actual argument.

Get over it. Most MMOs make wild promises they cant keep.

I lost count of how many times I've said that ZoS needed a Abigail to follow behind Firor and clean up his PR nightmare. I laughed so hard when I saw he actually put that in writing.

They are Noobs because they used the Hero Engine for ESO. The same engine that was used in SWTOR. You know, that game that is based on the mega IP, Star Wars. And that has gone from having 140 servers down to 12? ESO is having ALL the same issues that SWTOR had at launch. And has all the missing features as well.

starwars was a bad title in general. elderscrolls has been a very money making successful title since 1. Also, Starwars didnt have pvp nor open world rvr at launch. Elderscrolls does. As a famous known twitch streamer myself, I can confidently say elderscrolls online provides so much content that I can't even list.
    2. Zenimax online studio wants the players to play however they want in many different ways. One day pvp, another day questing, the other day dungeon farming and raids. what is there more to expect? it has everything you can expect in a perfect game!

@ghdtmdvy Actually, those may all be true. Those are gameplay design elements. They do not, however, negate the fact that ESO uses the Hero Engine, a very underdeveloped set of code for a game this size. They would have been much better served taking a different path, as I believe time will show.

Except customer support, working servers, Social systems that make sense. And who farms dungeons in this game. the group dungeons are a waste of time, the mobs don't give EXP worth a damn. You can't farm the public dungeons with the botters having the bosses locked down.

You should take it as Zenimax taking their challenge then. They are confident enough to use the engine. They would probably taking the challenges to fix the problems of the engine and develop it furthermore. No game studio nor companies would want their game die. Also, Zenimax has been fixing a lot of constant freeze lag issues, in addition with other lag related issues. You gotta give them thumbs up for their passion. If you have watched any past developer interview videos, you will feel how much they love, and put their lives into this game. It's okay to criticize the presented work. However, you could have give zenimax a positive feedback instead of calling them garbage.. D:

@ghdtmdvy Once again, everything you say may be true. But, the same is true of EA/Bioware and SWTOR. The bottom line is that since Z/B actually did not write the Hero Engine code, they are going to have 10 times more work trying to modify it in any way without critically breaking it. That is exactly what happened in SWTOR. As soon as EA/Bioware started messing around in the Hero Engine code, really bad thing started to happen. But, like ESO and Z/B, they HAD to get in there as SWTOR simply was not running up to modern MMO standards. And, sadly, neither is ESO.

I am veteran rank 2 and the dungeons are way far more rewarding than in the 1-50 leveling zones O.o not sure what you are talking bout

*Laughs* Thanks. Original post is the very TLDR version. I pre-ordered ESO, have sub (of course), and play a static duo with a friend who really likes ESO. I also like many, many aspects of ESO. I just hope they can recover from this before it is to late. They only have about 2 months to provide that promised "Polished and Lag Free Experience".

In addition, the customer support people were fine.
I still remember the lady I talked over the phone shannon.
I did not appreciate the other lady erin though.
My story is..., that I had my account mistakenly banned for 3 days. However, I was able to talk to the customer support over the phone. Shannon, and couple other people including the super visor. They couldn't help me at all, so i had further assistance and talked to the manager or super visor whoever it was from the terms of service department. They do not have a direct #, so I received the call from them. We were talking about the issue and the person was such a warm hearted dude with a manly voice who treated me 100% as a human being who was very open minded instead of being a EA customer support who reads "how to customer support" guide lines over the phone. Zenimax online studio got good customer support guys.. you just have to try to reach them out when you get into trouble.

In addition 2, if it was EA, they wouldn't even have taken the time to call your cell phone number from different departments rather than just the support representatives.. I was surprised that they took the time to call. Zenimax online studio provides definitely one of the best services along with the people from path of exile (grinding gear games, moderators/devs).

My statement about EA includes.. poor customer support where people do NOT even understand at all because they are not even close to familiar with the whole system. I remember when I had to deal with EA customer support for a month to get a refund for a game called "all points bulletin" when the game decided to close down their server due to lack of people and dissapear. I'm just glad that I at least got it compensated with dead space 1 during the time...jeez..those people were seriously brainless LOL

@dungya You should do your research before posting such a comment. They actually DID promise it, in writing, from a specific ZeniMax representative. And, yes, they are trying very hard, but trying only gets you so far when you are taking people's cash for a service.

Yes, EA / Bioware support was never up to snuff. Very bad, indeed.

yea then the funny part of EA is that EA mythic customer support was actually good when you called. Same publisher, yet different companies and departments I guess. hehe

no, i didnt research it at all, and im assuming a lot (not most) people didnt...but still i think the game did run fairly smooth, except for a few minor and some major bugs like falling through the map (i only fell through the map a few times and was logged out a few times too, only in the early access though.) sure their maintanence times are long and took up most of early access but keep in mind...they have only "officially" launched 8 days ago...still have 22 days to technically make up for it.

Ahh. Mythic. LOVED them when they were independent. Played DAoC for years. Anytime I had a problem and posted for help in-game, a CS rep would get back to me in-game within an hour! Just awesome.

@dungya I understand; the comment is so outrageous that it IS hard to believe an official rep would say such a thing. But, they did. I also have had all those issues: Dropping through the world, Crash To Desktop, Lag Spikes, Graphic Glitches, etc. And, I recognize them ALL from my experiences in SWTOR; the exact same types of failures in exactly the same way. These problems are NOT the fault of Zenimax/Bethesda. They are inherent in the Hero Engine. They can be fixed, they were fixed in SWTOR, but it is going to take time.

@f2pmmogamescub18_ESO‌ yeahhh hahaha luckily i havent had problems with missing gold (although i am smart enough to not bank my gold ;) ) the only real issue i've had with bugs is the banished cells dungeon. i think that probably should have been on their priority list to fix in the patch that came out when they were having problems with it, but hey, there are other stuff (and probably more beneficial things to do) in the game other than try to find solutions to it like dropping queset, re grouping stuff like that.
