I guess a lot of people aren't aware of the grouping tools feature within ESO because I see a lot of LFG messages in the zone chat.

But the grouping tools makes it much easier to find the exact people you need inside a group for any given dungeon (you can choose which role you'll need for a group when you are already in a group -> Tank -> Healer -> DPS).

To access the grouping tools, press P and then click on the seaching glass symbol.

This way more people will learn about the grouping tools and use it more, no need to ask in the zone chat anymore :)

The tool is good but wonky. I have used it, selected the dungeon, but it put me in a group doing another dungeon. Also as a leader you can tell it to search for a particular role and it puts someone running a completely different role. *boggle*

That's because someone maybe selected a wrong role ? :)

No, I can agree the tool needs some work. I've been grouped up with people across the entire map from myself. It's actually easier to find a group to do what you need to do in zone chat, unfortunately.

Alright, I hope they will make it better than in the future, because I don't feel comfortable spamming zone chat with LFG while no one/ not many answers your request.

That's a very reasonable request! Good luck with your adventures in Tamriel :)

If your level is to high for a dungeon, you can't use that tool. For example, you are lvl 18 or higher and want to do fingal grotto just for skill point, the only way is /zone.

At times I prefer to use the zone chat to find specific levels.

There is nothing wrong with advertising in zone chat. Example-one of the 2 DPS decides to go AFK while the healer spot gets filled. Healer joins, DPS gets kicked since they are a dime a dozen. /zone EH glf DPS. Boom DPS joins party in .5 secs. Easy and effective.

There have been serious bugs and limitations with it all through beta to now. Frankly, it needs a rehaul.

To expound on this, just last night myself and a friend realized we skipped an entire tier of dungeons. We wanted to go back and get the skill point, achievment, quest reward and undaunted xp. We could have attempted to duo the dungeons, but that seemed risky and rather selfish. The grouping tool would only let us search within our current level tier dungeons, being useless for our objective. So we traveled to the respective zone to find two more mates via LF spam. Wihin 5 minutes we had them. It was win/win; we got the stuff we wanted without risking death to boss pulls, they got escortes through the dungeon.
Essentially we need an escort tool now :-P

well depending on which dungoen im going for I either use the tool or zone.

the thing about the tool is, lets take Grotto thats vr1-vr5 and a really hard dungoen to do, that I would go to a vr4+ zone and get the group like lots of others do, since its impossible to do with a fresh vr1 that dont have the right gear yet for that dungoen.

If its banished cells, which is the easist of the tier, I just use grouping tool and enjoying the group lots, if we even manage to do well, we might go on to spindel and if the group has succes there to, we might do Grotto and teach the newbies the tactices from it.

This was my problem with it. I'm always at least a couple of levels above the content I'm currently doing because my experience goes up quicker than I can complete it. So I couldn't even use it.

it is *** that you cant search group for lower level dungeons and you need to goyelling for LFG. fix it so that you can search group for whatever dungeon despite being higher level.
