Hey everyone, thought that I would get some feedback from the playerbase and see if y'all would help since I can't seem to get any from my support tickets.
So my problem is that when I downloaded the game everything was fine, got to play the game a little and then this recent patch came out. While I was downloading the patch I got to about 55% and then a notice popped onto the installer saying "WebGet Request Failed". I tried to download it again, and the same thing happened.
I sent in a ticket and I got a generic response of "Run as Admin", "Turn off Addware/Pop-Up Blockers" etc... So I did as the email suggested. I turned off everything from my protection software (adding the website to the approved listing of my program), then tried to reinstal. I ran as Admin, then tried to reinstal. I completely uninstalled the game, deleted all cache folders and everything on my computer concerning ESO and Zenimax, defragg'd the comp and again tried to reinstal. I even completely deleted my protection software (was using Trend Micro Security) and downloaded a new one (Trend Micro Titanium; again adding the websites to the approved list) and AGAIN tried to reinstal. AGAIN...nothing.
So for all of you tech savy people out there I am begging for some advice. I have done EVERYTHING I can think of. My support tickets are useless. I got the first generic response, told them it didn't work (listed everything I tried as stated above) and then they sent a response saying some High Elves would get back to me. Three days later I got a response from those damned elves and it was WORD-FOR-WORD what the original response was from the support team (first generic email). This is not even including the support ticket I put in requesting that they call me (three days old now), for which...they haven't called yet.
So please, if there is anyone out there that has any semblance of an idea on how to fix this situation I would be more than grateful to you. I think this game is worth playing (at least until I get my $70 worth out of it), but since I can't play and the support team is sending me the same email over and over again I am now turning my eye towards a complete refund.
