Skyshard totals resetting?

Maybe I am crazy but it seems if you level or log off without finishing out 3 of 3 for a skill point your skyshard total resets to zero.

b101uk✭✭✭oddly enough, I thought that today when I logged on, I could have sworn there was 1 of 3 last night when I logged off, but nothing conclusive like a screenshot, but I will note it next time I log-off!0
